The next day.
As Anna Jadwin looked at the splendor before her—
An arched gateway stood with a demon mounted on a horse, the front yard lush and verdant, fountains and lake forming a semicircle, connected to The Thompsons' main castle. Deities stood or lay in the layers of arched towers, and golden lion statues supported lanterns, arranged in a long row.
Leo nestles in her arms: "Momom, we're here!"
Wayne Bailey refused Leo's request and did not allow him to return to The Baileys' Manor.
This made Anna Jadwin even more curious. Did he have some secret that he wanted to keep hidden?
"You didn't say anything to Daddy, right?"
"Leo said everything Momom taught me..." The little steamed bun nodded repeatedly.
Anna Jadwin breathed a sigh of relief. The request to return to the manor was made by Leo and not in her name. Wayne probably wouldn't suspect a thing.
