Although it was Gu Nianzhi's first day as an intern at the Senate, she wasn't like most newcomers. She was neither a yes-man or a timorous girl as she carried out the tasks assigned to her.

Special Assistant Yang's intention in letting Gu Nianzhi meet the three officials was to have her experience the level of difficulty involved in their work. Why else would he have shoved her into such an important assignment on her first day as an intern?
