Chapter 7

Anne's pov

it was a long week that i could say. Seconds turned into minutes, minutes into hours and hours into day. As she promised she locked me up in my room, Amanda bringing food as usuall. She took my phone ipads laptop and my Boomplayer. It was like i was in the dark ages with nothing but magazines and books to read. At times i would look outside my window and imagine myself outside riding a bicycle or going to the movies or something. After that outburst with mum that day i never wanted to see her, atleast for now. And finally my week was over and i was going back to school. I was getting ready when a knock disturbed me. Come in I say and Christian walked in.

"Good morning christian" I said smiling. I was happy since I'm free again. "Good morning Anne. Here are your credit cards and cellphone. Also your mum has told me that you should hurry up she's waiting to take you to school". At the mention of mother my face grew dark, I'm not ready to see or to have another fight with her.

"Tell her Hugo will drive me there. I don't want to see her she should just go her business is waiting" i answered back with no emotion in my face. "You don't want to see your own mother?" Mum says entering into the room. She had a cup of coffee in one hand and her phone in the other. "You must be busy. I mean your reputation needs your attention" I answered without looking at her as i tie my shirt. She comes annd stands beside me." I'm sorry, I didn't mean what I said you know that"I don't answer I finish what i was doing and then turn to face her. "I am also sorry for what i said to you. I am happy to have you as my mum"I said and was surprised when she hugged me. I felt something warm and realised she was crying. Maybe I was hard on her.

" Awwww mother daughter love sooo sweet. Sweety i brought you breakfast"said the excited Amanda coming in with a tray. She brought a peenut butter and jelly sandwich my favourate." Thanks Amanda you're my favourate person in the entire universe" I say engulfing her in a hug.Now I am jealous" said mum making a sad face.Me and Amanda laugh outloud. And that was how my morning has been untill we made it into the car. When we reached the school she turned to me to say her speech but i beat her to it"I know mum, stay out of trouble do your punishment and detention of coarse and lastly be nice and apologise to that Anderson boy and Hugo will pick me up after school" I spoke all in one go. "I was going to say have a great day at school but that works too".She said smiling. I got off the car and entered into hell. Well i just have to keep up with it for another 11 months and then I'm outta here. I report to Mr peter and receive a shocking news"What do you mean Mr Anderson has begged for me not to be punished" I asked. I just found out that 2 days after my suspension Daniel went and asked the principal to lift all my punishments. He also said that he forgives me and he will try to work it out with me. Like hell i would accept. I would rather mop toilets than accept his forgiveness. "I imagined you'll be happy but your expression is totally not what i expected" said Mr peter. "Sir with all due respect, I would rather do my punishments as promised. Its a way for me to learn my mistakes." I'm not about to surrender to that Daniel brat. "Ok then ms Hathaway you will do your punishments and I will inform mr Anderson that you have denied his request"He smiled and handed me a bucket and mop. My first punishment was to clean the library. I make my way outside only to find Randy with a rose in his hand. I'm suprised to find him here."A rose for a special lady" He says handing me a rose.I smile and accept the rose.But I still ask whar he's doing here."I heard that your reporting to school today so I thought who better not to welcome you here if not me."He says still smiling. somehow I like his smile it kinda comforts me." How thoughtful of you and thanks for the 🌹 rose. But unfortunately I have to start my punishment and the library needs my attention"I say making my way to the library." Then i guess you wont mind me joining you"He asked. I just knod and continue walking to the library. But halfway there i turn around only to see Randy has vanished." Soo much for joining me"i muttered still making my way. Today was Reassess day so all the students were in classes which was great news for me since it means no ugly stares. I begin to move and suddenly the door burst open and in comes Randy looking majestic. But what suprised me was that he had a mop in his hands." I thought you ditched me? "I ask him. crossing my arms over my chest." I'm sorry your Highness but I had to find a mop. " he answers." What is that for"I ask him now turning my back to start with my work. The school library was very huge able to fit 300 students at once and so me cleaning it alone would take many many hours." For cleaning dah!!!! I said I was gonna join you. Besides I think of it as exercise."He said and began moping before I could utter a word.I didn't argue with him and just let him be.

And that was how my morning was, i cleaned the library and the major staffrooms with Randy by my side. I thought he would get tired and eventually leave but he stick with me, we talked alot shared stories both funny and sad made jokes and that was the first time in a year wgere i felt free. You know like he is someone i could open to. But I still have doubts over which people i should keep as friends. And finally at almost half past noon we finished. "I have to say this didn't even feel like a punishment with you by my side" I say to him while placing the bucket and mop in their respective places. "well what did you expect" He answers back looking at his watch and just then i hear my stomach growl..... or so because i think he heard it too. "Looks like someone is hungry. C'mon it's lunch time lets go to the cafeteria" He offers and i have to accept. I need something to eat or else i might faint. We make it into the cafeteria and since it was lunch time many studemts were eyeing me. I halt in my steps and take a deep breath. Just then i feel Randy's hand on mine so i turn and find him smilling"Its alright Anne. They just wanna meet the girl who slapped the the Legendary Daniel." He said while smilling. I calmed down and ordered the food and after much conflict and fighting ended up paying the bill. I told Randy it was a thank you for helping me out. Soon after two other students who judging by how they interact must be Randy's friends. We continue laughing and talking untill i feel someone's hot gaze. So i turn and my eyes connect to Daniel's whose in the corner drinking juise. I decide to ignore him and continue listening to Randy that i didn't see him standing and walking towards us. When he neared the table everyone bece quite. Since my back was turned against him, i didn't see him and when i turned around i saw him with an angry face. I wondered why he was mad but I didn't have time to figure it out coz the next moment he already grabbed my hand and was heading outside. All other students are quite and didn't interfere with it. I tried releasing my hand but his grip was very strong. Once out sides he lets my hand go and i turn to him screaming"WHAT THE HELL A**HOLE"
