Chapter-69: Conjecture
When Ashmus heard his words, he stopped his advance and looked at that man with wide eyes. Did that man really break his sweet dreams to inform him of this useless speculation.
And a second later, a ridiculing smile appeared on his face and he said slowly," Was that a joke?.... If that really was...." His face turned cold and he continued," then excuse me for not realising it earlier and even if it was funny, it won't be worthwhile for me to laugh on it."
"Heh..." The man smirked and laughed scornfully," The only funny thing here is you and your companions. Did you actually think i would leave you alive after you humiliated me like that."
"But that's not the issue here... Even if you had been humble and helpful, i still wouldn't let you go." The man said as he gazed towards Althea and others meaningfully.
