Chapter-60: First Rule

After saying those melancholic words, Ashmus looked at kenzo and said with a calm look," But that's one thing. I actually saved you because i wanted to ask you of something."

"What do you want to ask now?" Kenzo asked back.

"Well....." Ashmus paused for a second and bent his body forward a bit asked with a smirk," How did you feel when your father's head was in your hands?"

When he heard those words, kenzo's eyed widened and he clenched his fists hardly.

Then Ashmus's expression turned cold and he said," You killed so many people just so you could save your beloved father but all that was for naught.

What kind of state your heart was in when you realised that you had been betrayed by that person for whom you had betrayed your village, Hah?..."

Kenzo didn't say anything but was gnashing his teeths harder and harder with clenched fists. His whole body was trembling with anger as he thought about that.

He looked at Ashmus with tear filled eyes and pointed his trembling fingers at him and shouted," HOW... How dare you ask something like that.....?"

Ashmus saw his finger infront of him and grabbed it suddenly. Next second, he directly broke his finger from the base.

"Agghhhhh....." When the pain ran through his body, Kenzo screamed while holding his broken finger.

"Tone down, boy...." Ashmus said after breaking his finger then continued," Or else i will make sure you won't ne able to lower your voice ever again..... like those men." He spoke with a cold voice.

Kenzo felt like he was in a icy-cold abyss and his forehead was covered with sweat. He took back his finger and didn't dare to rage out and lowered his head.

Even though he was angry and his heart was filled with sadness, he was not insane.

Even though he had prepared himself, he didn't want to experience that kind of torture in his heart. And now that Ashmus said he didn't have to, he would never want to ruin it.

Suddenly Ashmus said to him with a low voice," You are the same as me, boy."

When kenzo heard this, he rised his head and looked at him with a bit of confusion.

Then Ashmus continued, looking at him," when i believed your nonsense, I was betrayed by you in return, And you also believed that man but he betrayed you and killed your father in the end."

Kenzo heard this and started sobbing with a low voice. He was already blaming himself for believing in someone like that bastard.

Then Ashmus said," Since it was your first offence, i will pretend like i didn't hear it. But keep in mind, it would be the last time i tolerate you."

"Then i will give you two choices to make it easier for you. First, be my servant and serve me for life or second, be my enemy." Ashmus said with a sharp voice.

Kenzo didn't have to think for much because it was obvious. He didn't want to be a enemy of this cruel demon. He had already seen what happened to those guys from Darkmoon.

They couldn't even able to die a peaceful death and he didn't want to become like those rotten skeletons.

Just thinking about being his enemy made his body shudder. He would rather eat shit than oppose this demon.

He rised his head and looked at Ashmus and sighed," Ok, i will become your servant."

"Good, you aren't as crazy as i thought." Ashmus heard his agreement and nodded his head then said," And i will make one thing clear, as a servant of Ashmus Ruler be prepared to be punished severely if you make any mistakes."

Kenzo nodded his head and swore to himself to never make any mistakes.

"Oh, there is another problem. What if you run away from me when you get the chance." Ashmus suddenly asked with narrowed eyes.

"N-no..... I will never run away." Kenzo hurriedly denied his claim.

"Why should i believe someone like you?" Ashmus asked again.

Kenzo didn't know what to say and stayed silent. Even if he says everything reasonable, Ashmus still wouldn't believe him as he had already betrayed him once.

"I have a way." When both of them fell silent, Althea who was hiding behind the tree suddenly came out and said with a embarrassment look.

Ashmus and kenzo turned their head towards her when they heard her voice.

When he saw her, kenzo's eyes widened and he was stupefied by her beauty.

Previously, he didn't have time to observe her beauty because of his fear towards Ashmus. But now that she was real close, he could finally observe her stunning beauty.

She was most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. He never thought someone this gorgeous could exist in this world. His body stiffened and he couldn't take his eyes off of her.

But before he could stare at her for much longer, Ashmus suddenly arrived infront of him and punched his abdomen hardly.

He flew backwards and crashed into a tree and coughed out several mouthful of blood and his face paled. He couldn't understand why Ashmus would suddenly punch him like that.

But he didn't have to think for much longer because Ashmus said to him coldly," First rule of being my servant- Never in your goddamn life look at my woman with a gaze other than respect and reverence."

"Do you understand?" He then shouted at him.

Kenzo didn't want to anger him any longer and hurriedly nodded.

"Good, now take this pill and stay by the side." Ashmus then handed him a pill to heal his wounds and turned towards Althea.

"So Althea, what did you say earlier?" He asked.

Althea, who was a bit sympathetic for kenzo, turned towards Ashmus and said," I said i have a way to make him loyal to you and he won't be able to run away even if he wants."

"Really! Then what is it. " Ashmus was a bit surprised and delighted and he hurriedly asked.

"I have a technique with which you can place a mark on his soul and with that mark you can control his life and death as you want and you can even sense his exact location within a limited range of you." Althea explained slowly.

"Hahahaha... That's great." When Ashmus heard that he was first shocked and then started laughing.

"Come here, let me give you a reward for that technique." After laughing for a bit, he started walking towards Althea to give her a reward.
