Chapter-10: Trouble in the village

When Ash was on the way back to his house, he noticed that a eerie silence has descended upon the village. He has not even seen a single villager on his way.

He was confused and started running towards his house. When he reached there, he saw that there was only Luna playing in the garden with a cat.

"Oh, Big brother..... You finally returned." She ran to him and embraced his legs.

Ashmus got down and hugged her back. After hugging her for a bit, they separated and Ash asked in a gentle tone," Luna, can you tell big brother, why there is no one in house?"

"Auntie and big sister went to the village medical centre with uncle and Village head."

"Village medical centre? Why did they go there?"

"I don't know. They said to wait for them in the house."

"Ohh... Then come with Big brother and meet with them."

"Yay....."

Ashmus brought Luna with him and went towards the medical centre.

When he got there, he saw that there were already a lot of people gathered around the centre. Looked like the entire village is assembled here.

He picked up Luna in his arms and squeezed through the crowd of people.

When he reached the front, he saw that his Father, mother, Grandpa and Eira were standing at the entrance waiting for the door to open.

Eira was the first one to saw him squeezing through the crowd. She was delighted and dashed towards him and pounced on him. "Big brother, you have exited your seclusion." She said excitedly.

Others also noticed him and gathered around him.

"Ash, you have come." Nabia said.

"Hahahahaha, so you successfully broke through to the qi absorption realm, and 3rd level at that. That's my son... Hahahaha." Bevyn said while laughing

"Good, good, good..... You didn't let me down. You are youngest to have reached this realm in the history of our village." Grandpa yoel said good 3 times and praised.

The villagers were shocked, when they heard Ashmus has broken through to the true cultivation realm. They quickly congratulated him in joy.

"Hehehe.... Thank you everyone for your praise." He quickly thanked everyone.

Then he remembered something and asked his grandfather," Grandpa, why are all the villagers gathered around here? Is there something going on in the Medical centre?"

"Oh.... You've been in seclusion for more than 10 days, so you don't know anything."

"Apparently, at the southern entrance of the village, someone noticed a young and beautiful girl was lying unconscious. she was heavily injured and blood was flowing endlessly."

"After hearing his statement, i brought the girl to the medical centre, to get her treated."

"The medical team has been treating her for an entire day, clearly she was way too injured and was on the brink of death." Grandpa explained the situation to Ashmus.

"What could have caused such a young girl to get so seriously injured?" Nabia said, looking a little sad.

"They are about to be finished. If she can get out of coma, then we will know what happened to her." Bevyn said.

"So that's what happened." Ash nodded with a pondering expression.

Amidst their conversation, the door to the infirmary opened and several old women walked out looking tired.

"What happened? Did you save her life?" Village head asked the old women if they saved the girl.

"Village head, we have stabilized her condition. But she was way too injured. There were a lot of bloody marks on her body and she had lost consciousness due to excessive blood loss. We have emptied almost all of our medicine stocks but we still could not cure her completely." The old woman in the front sighed and explained the situation.

"I think she is about to wake up. Village head should go and see her." They left after saying this.

Elder yoel and other entered the infirmary and saw that the girl was bandaged all over her body. The girl had a beautiful face, her hair was long and light blue coloured.

The people gathered around her, wating for her to wake up.

A while later, her eyelashes trembled and she slowly opened her eyes. She was a bit confused to see all the people around her.

"Where..... am i? Who are you guys?" She said in an extremely low voice.

"Young girl, you finally woke up. We thought, you are about to die from all the wounds on your body. Thank goodness, our physician saved you with difficulty. So, what happened to you to become injured this much?" Elder yoel was glad that the girl woke up and asked about her condition.

"Injured?" The girl looked down and saw that she was wrapped in bandages all over her body. Then she remembered something and tried to get out of the bed in a flustur." I have to get out of here quickly." Too bad she couldn't get up because of her wounds.

"Calm down, little girl. We won't do anything to harm you. You don't have to be so scared." Nabia tried to console the girl not to be scared.

"Noo.... I have to get out of here before they reach here. I'm very thankful that you saved me but i don't want to be captured by those guys." She tried to explain that she has to go.

"Who are you trying to run from? Why are they trying to capture you?" Ashmus asked in confusion.

"I don't have time to explain everything to you. I have to-" When she looked at ashmus, she was stunned. She had never seen anyone this handsome before.

His silky black hair, blue eyes, and perfect sharp face mesmerized her so much that she couldn't even speak for a long time.

"Hello....." Ash waved his hand in front of her face, trying to wake her up from her dazed look.

She snapped out of her daze and was a bit embarrassed.

"What were you about to say?" Ash asked.

She looked at him and said," i was saying...."

"Boom...."

Before she could finish her sentence, there was a loud bang at the entrance of the village.

"Oh no. They have arrived." She looked at the direction of the sound and said with a panicked look on her face.

The others were shocked when they heard the sound. The hurriedly got out of the house and looked at the southern side of the village.

They saw, the entire side of the village was destroyed and burning. There were twenty figures wearing tight blood red clothes with a dark moon pattern on it. They were slowly heading towards them releasing a terrifying killing intent.
