In a land far away, stood a great monument surrounded by thick, tall walls, grazing up to the sky. A large blue and white gate stood firm, it's height frightening, preventing outsiders from passing through. This gate was relatively designed with two large white snowflakes both sides, contrasting the ocean blue walls of the gate, and an arch for entrance in between those two gates.
This was the Borean city of the Northern mountain of Treinn.
Through a bird view, one could see series of buildings, signifying market places and residential areas. Followed by a vast land used as a training ground, for individuals hoping to join partisans to protect their city.
Moving on, the largest of all buildings could be spotted. And that was... The Vellin Domicile.
This building was extravagantly beautified and decorated with vines and flowers... Magnolias to be precised. This building which had always been lively, became a living graveyard after the disappearance of the third and last child of the Vellin domiciliary. Since then, Grief, pity and regrets had taken over.
Sigh...
A Tall man with fluttering strands of long black hair stood in front of a royal window, admiring the cheerful rays of early morning sunlight. A dancing glow of orange decorated his half scattered office including his blue outfit.
With two hands at his back, this gallant and vibrant Lord of the Noble Vellin domiciliary stood still, his clear blue eyes scouting over the lands of his region. Feeding his sight with the amazing beauty of his City and it's horizon. This was Dane Cael Vellin, the Lord of the Noble Vellin Domiciliary.
'The sun finally comes out'
He thought to himself, immersing himself in the fervent feeling of the late winter sunlight. This abode had been located in a land constantly decorated with snow, grey clouds and ice, Hence, the appearance of sunlight was a joyous moment. However, his mood harboured different. It was the opposite of the cheerful sun rays... Sorrow.
Lashes blinked as dry pale lips pressed together. This day marked the second year after his son's disappearance. This leader was down with grief ever since he got that information. He could reminisce the day he was informed about the attack on his son and his couple as they took off to live at his couple's Domicile.
Although the other seemed to escape and survive, his own son was nowhere to be found. His blind son was missing, lurching around in an endangered place... How was he to survive?
Troops upon troops of his men had been sent out to scout for him, yet everyone of them came back with the same disappointing news, that his son couldn't be found. To crown it all, he only had two girls asides his lost son... What could they possibly do?
Not that he disliked having female children nor his daughters. However, he wished he had sons not daughters, it would've been easier to send them out for the search. Though his first daughter was renowned as the most powerful warrior in their Alliance, he couldn't still let her assist in the search though she had pressured him on it; He felt like he'll also lose her.
Despite all these, that wasn't the main issue. the main issue was that he had said hurtful things to his son because everyone deemed his only male child as a weakling. He was really a fool to listen to the words of outsiders.
Tired and troubled, he wished to retire and close the blue curtains of his window when he heard quick knock on the door of his office. Perhaps, another useless information about his son's disappearance.
"Go back!" He roared, still in his previous position but his head facing the teak door. He wasn't yet in the mood to entertain such worthless informations.
"It's urgent. My Lord," The voice spoke up from behind the teak door of his office.
Was this peasant deaf or perhaps stupid?
"I said go back!" He repeated himself hoping the other got the message. He wasn't a man of two words but he'll rather just forgive this unruly subordinate of his.
In due time, the other had gotten the message of his Lord. He wasn't to be disturbed. He decided to retreat back to the young master that sent him. His footsteps clanged as he left.
With a huff and a roll of the eye, Lord Dane Vellin shifted his gaze back to the Ethereal view before him. Enjoying a little more of this view would be okay to cool him down.
A few minutes had passed when another knock suddenly came on the door again.
Brows creased in utmost annoyance as his resilient mood had been snapped. He broke off like an angry lion.
"You empty vessel, are your ears made of rags?! Didn't you hear GET OUT!... Or would you like to be hanged in the center of Borean!?"
" It's me father... It's Lloyd." A voice behind the door softly answered.
" Oh! Lloyd boy, Thought it was those disturbances at it again... Come in!"
Gentle twist on the door knob and a light creak, Lord Dane welcomed the presence of this young master... Lloyd. The son of his late sister whom he now took in as his own son.
"Good day father... Enjoying the cities view again?" Lloyd cracked up a smile.
"What else can this old man do than refreshing his sight," Lord Dane answered, his mood quite light.
"Father..." This young master paused as if deliberating to share the news or not. He was unsure about the other's reaction to it.
Few seconds of tense silence were enough to force his words out of his lips "... I just received a news from one of our subordinate who claims to have sighted your son... My junior cousin." Young Master Lloyd suddenly spoke up, uncertainties hallowing his tone.
"My Son? Sighted?" Brows of the Vellin Lord creased. "Your cousin has been missing for two years with strenuous search and no positive result and suddenly you appear out of nowhere to tell me he's alive?... How ridiculous. Lloyd... you should never make such jokes about your cousin... Ever again."
keeping mute, Lloyd scrutinized the already gloomy countenance of his foster father. The thought of what his father was passing through pricked his heart, but he just wanted to share the news he had been told. Hoping to cheer up the atmosphere. Guess he was wrong, his adorable little cousin was gone for good. He wasn't going to push on the news again— Captain Zander was lying.
He excused himself and turned to leave, not wanting to make the atmosphere unbearable.
"Who's this individual that told you this?.. I'll have him punished for such rumor!" A voice resonated behind him.
Lloyd paused on his steps, a glance over his shoulder " Captain Zander."
Lord Dane was perplexed... Zander? Why would his chief trainer spread such rumors about his son? Wasn't he treating him well?
Lloyd was to take another step when...
"What else did he tell you?" He felt a grip on his shoulder that he paused and turned, meeting a concerned gaze of his foster father. He sighed and resorted to tell him the full story.
"I was doing my early morning routine when he called me. He seemed uneasy, but I bothered not asking about it... Here..." This foster son brought out a glimmering black stone from his satchel. It was flat... Just like a mirror, but, it's insidies were decorated with grating darkness that seemed rough in the eye.
He handed it over to his foster dad.
"A Zodyrs?" Lord Dane exclaimed, receiving the black object from his son. "What has it to do with–"
"A subordinate of his communicated with him through it. His subordinate was the individual who claimed to have seen cousin..." Midnight blue eyes involuntary shifted towards the window beside him "Captain Zander could've been the one to tell you this, but he seemed to be in a hurry to get to somewhere. I was however instructed to do so."
Midnight blue eyes reverted back to the man before it, scrutinizing every inch of his worried face. A feeling of uneasiness sweeping on him like currents.
Lord Dane's gaze was fixed on the black stoned mirror before him, his mind rummaging through what he had heard. Was it true? Was his blind son really alive? How did he survive despite his poor eyesight and pathetically weak body?
"Do you perhaps, believe he's alive...?" He suddenly asked, his wide palm clutching tightly on the artifact in his hold; his knuckles visibly white.
"I... I... I do," Lloyd stuttered and answered, his midnight blue eyes trailing on the artifact in his father's grip. Regrets of a few deeds he had done to his little cousin prickling his heart.
This Arch nodded. He opened his palm and released an amount of azure divinity into the black stone, hoping to activate the artifact which was used for communication.
"I'll have to find my son..."
.....
Meanwhile, back at the Vermis county, weeks had passed after the collection of a whole lot of incident Eradan couldn't just explain. Firstly, the green creatures or as they were called vasperian... attack. His suddenly discovery of his ice ability was one to follow up.
Lastly, and the most disturbing incident that happened to him or let's say he discovered... He was a creature with two sexual organs. As days passed by, he had accepted his fate and had gotten used it.
"Here, take this," Andrew gave him a shoe to keep in the box he was carrying. "And, this, this, this" He added three more pairs.
As it was, Eradan had began to work under Andrew. He helped Andrew in the selling of his shoe products.
Due to his overly attractive looks, he usually gained lots of customers whenever he went to sell those shoes. Lots of male and female elves buzzed around him, everyone wanted to receive a share of his aesthetically pleasing features and his charming bright smile. Well, for all he could care, the smiling part was something he really wanted to stop doing. They were forced.... Hurting his jaws.
"I assume that's all." Andrew voiced out as he was done with stocking in the remaining ones for tomorrow's sales. This individual decided to repeat his previous pledge of warning "Please be safe and—"
"Don't worry I'll be back... Early and safety." Eradan interrupted, his grace lively... You look adorable, Andrew thought, a smile of admiration on his lips.
Eradan carried the box in a lazy manner and turned to leave.
"Mama!" The little Elven among them who had grown up a little, rushed towards Eradan and embraced him with a wide, cute hug. "Be safe mama. Should I follow you?"
Eradan glanced down at the boy beneath him....? Who's mama? Blue eyes like the surface of the ocean met gleaming, teary beady eyes of grey. Eradan was shocked and surprised. Well, he couldn't refute the fact that he was quite annoyed at the gender disposed on him. But it was fine...
His eyes fervently, darted to the Amber haired youth standing some metres away. Looks with questioning and confusion he gave Andrew who laughed before raising his shoulder in uncertainties.
A pat on the fluffy ash hair beneath him...
"Don't worry Robin, I'll be safe. Stay with Andrew." He said his gaze back to the little Elven hugging him. Robin as he was now called, reluctantly broke off from his hug. He wanted to hug his mother more but she seemed to be busy. Don't worry, he'll still hug her when she's back.
Eradan glanced at the both of them before unhurriedly walking out of their home...

At a distance not so far from a bustling town, an individual stood. His blood red eyes blazing like the fire of hell. A metaphor that complemented his nature. Those crimson eyes darted around, over the features of this land... Inprinting it's visage as it scrutinized every inch of it... Bit, by bit.
This would be the beginning of my journey... Interesting!
Pink lush lips curved up, carving out a smirk; while lashes blinked...
