From his mode of travel and attire, along with everything else about him, it was clear that he was a man of no simple status.

He had just been using this computer to handle his affairs. Surely, there must be very important documents inside the computer; wasn't he afraid of provoking her rage enough for her to actually smash the computer?

Although his threat did indeed frighten her, she was afraid of dying.

"How much longer until we reach the hospital?" Mr. Shangguan Xiu didn't even look at her, but glanced at his watch and asked the driver in a deep voice.

The driver answered respectfully, "Young Master, two more minutes."

Two minutes?

Isn't that too quick?

An Xiaomian, seeing that her previous actions hadn't threatened the man, hurriedly spoke out and placed the tablet on her belly, "Don't you want this child? Well, I'm going to smash it out of existence right now!"

That way, she wouldn't have to bear his child or be entangled with such a man.

Mr. Shangguan Xiu, who had shown little reaction and whose expression had been cold, finally lost his composure. He abruptly reached out, forcefully gripping An Xiaomian's hand holding the tablet, leaned over, and locked eyes with her at close range, his gaze dark and icy as he warned her, "An Xiaomian, don't even think about trying to infuriate me. Have you forgotten that your grandmother is still in the hospital? If you dare to harm the child in your womb, I'll ensure that your grandmother leaves this world along with the child. You better listen carefully! It's easy for you to kill my child, and it's just as easy for me to kill your grandmother, do you understand?"

After warning her, Mr. Shangguan Xiu gave her a dark look before finally letting her go.

He didn't even bother to snatch the tablet back, convinced that she wouldn't dare gamble with her grandmother's life.

An Xiaomian realized she was sweating cold beads on her forehead, and took several weak breaths before slowly coming to her senses, her heart pounding wildly.

Suddenly feeling it was all so pointless, she threw his tablet forcefully onto the ground, ceased to speak, and stopped looking at anyone. Biting her lip in silence, she hung her head.

To think he would use the most important person to her, her grandmother, as a threat.

These wealthy people are indeed not to be trifled with.

She deeply regretted it, wishing she had taken the medicine that day. If she had taken it sooner, and maybe several times over, she wouldn't be entangled with this fierce, terrifying, and domineering man now.

Seeing her toss the tablet away, Mr. Shangguan Xiu knew she wouldn't dare use the child as a threat again, and a cold smile appeared on his face.

Such a naive and inexperienced young girl, trying to threaten him?

The people who had once threatened him were probably long dead and buried!

The two minutes quickly passed, and as the car stopped, the driver respectfully opened the door for his master, "Young Master, we've arrived at the hospital."

Mr. Shangguan Xiu prepared to alight, but upon seeing An Xiaomian still looking downcast, he glanced at her with a flash of dark light in his eyes and said coldly, "We've arrived at the hospital; get out!"

Without lifting her head, An Xiaomian responded just as coldly, "I don't want to be at this hospital. I want to go to the one where my grandmother is staying."

At her words, Mr. Shangguan Xiu frowned but said nothing. He reached out and, just as suddenly as before, scooped her from the car and strode toward the hospital entrance.

Startled, An Xiaomian began to struggle in his arms, angrily looking up at him, "Mr. Shangguan, let me go. I don't want to be at this hospital. I want to go to the one with my grandmother..."
