3 Birthday Party

Zach drove the car to a luxurious hotel. When Sadie saw where Zach had taken her she was speechless. "Zach! You booked a party here? I don't even know what to say! Wow just wow!" Zach just laughed at Sadie's reaction to where he has taken her. He had this birthday party planned for months now. The hotel where this party was taking place was booked out for months in advance. Only the cream of the crop could book a party here because of how expensive it was to rent a banquet hall for a night! Zach turned to Sadie and said " Well you know I only want the best for my Sadie girl!" Sadie looked at him with tears of happiness in her eyes and gave him a huge hug and said "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! You are the bestest best friend ever!" Zach smiled and said "Well should we go in or do you want to sit in this car a little longer? I wouldn't mind hearing you singing my praises more!" Sadie smacked his shoulder laughing and said "I think it's time we go inside. I don't want to boost your ego! If I do I'll never hear the end of it." Zach laughed out loud and got out of the car. He walked around and opened the car door for Sadie. He again offered his arm to her and he led her into the banquet hall.

When Sadie walked into the room she was stunned. The room was so beautifully decorated. It had multiple tables around the room for her friends and family to sit down and enjoy a meal. The tables each had white table cloths and crystals significantly put around each centerpiece. Each table had a center peace of red roses arranged in a beautiful crystal vase. They had a big dance floor that everyone could dance on, with white and pink balloon arches around the sides of the room.

As Sadie walked in the room she was immediately surrounded by her friends and family wishing her a happy birthday! She was so happy and could not believe how much Zach had put into this birthday. Zach escorted her to her table and helped her with her seat. He sat down next to her. Everyone also took their seats and in came their feast. The room suddenly was surrounded with waiters with plates of delicious food. On each plate was chicken cordon bleu, steamed broccoli and carrots and roasted potatoes. These are some of Sadie's favorites and she could hardly wait to start eating. Everyone waited to eat until Sadie had her first bite of food. It was the best chicken cordon bleu she had ever had. The chicken was so tender and juicy it would melt in your mouth. If this is what was for supper she could hardly wait to see what was for dessert. "So Sadie how did I do in choosing the food?" asked Zach. "It's perfect. I don't think I could have chosen better." replied Sadie. "So how is it going? I haven't seen or talked to you in a few days. I know about work but what other things have you been up to? I mean you get busy but you have always made time to at least check up on me. I haven't even been able to get you on the phone." complained Sadie. "Well I do want to talk to you about that. I have been seeing someone recently which is the reason why you haven't been able to reach me lately. I promise I will get better and check up on you more often. We met at work and we have kind of hit things off. She is really looking forward to meeting the famous Sadie that I'm always talking about. I want you two to meet. She will be here later on tonight." explained Zach. As Sadie was listening to Zach she was a little disappointed. 'Great another girlfriend.' she moaned to herself. "Ok I guess I can meet her tonight. What time is she supposed to be here? Dinner is almost over and it's almost time for dessert!" "She said she would be her at eight." "Oh that's in a hour. Well I'm looking forward to meeting her." 'Not really!!!' she thought to herself. "What is her name?" she asked. "Oh I thought I told you already." he laughed. "Her name is Rose. Rose Gibbons. I really think you will like her. I can't wait for you to meet her." She looked at Zach and saw that he really was excited for her to meet Rose. She thought to herself 'Should I be worried about this Rose Girl? I've never seen him act like this with his other girl friends.'

Once dinner was finished the waiters brought out her favorite dessert; which is raspberry cheesecake! They ate their dessert in silence and savored its taste. It was so delicious and she wanted to have more, but was too full to get more.

After dessert was finished the wait staff cleaned up their plates. That was when the dancing began. The DJ started up the music and everyone started heading for the dance floor. Zach asked "Sadie will you dance with me?" "Of course!" she answered. Zach escorted her out onto the dance floor. The music playing was a fast swing song called Jump Jive An' Wail by the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Zach and Sadie took a Swing Dance Course in college together so they were pretty good at swing dancing. They both loved to get their groove on. Soon people started to gather a circle around the two and watched and cheered as they danced. Zach was picking Sadie up in the air and spinning her around. They both could dance like this all night. Sadie loved having Zach spin her around the room and toss her in the air. It was so much fun; she couldn't help laughing out loud the entire song.

As the song finished the DJ decided to slow things down with a slow song. Again Zach asked Sadie to dance with him and of course she excepted. The song playing was Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi. Little did Sadie know that this song was going to emulate her life very soon. As they were dancing slowly around the room Zach received a text message. Just as the song finished Zach checked his phone and said "Sadie! Rose is here. I'm going to go and get her real quick. I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere I can't wait for you to meet her!" Sadie did a fake laugh and said "Ok I'll wait right here, but hurry back!" Zach smiled at her and left the room to get Rose.
