HIDE AWAY

Ashley's POV

When I got home my mum was still eyeing me suspiciously like she knew I was hiding something, seriously can't this woman give it a rest and believe.

"Honey, you do know you can ask me and tell me anything right? I'll always be there for you no matter what okay" my mum said when I was about to go to the room holding my hands in hers. I released my hand from hers and starting to feel uncomfortable as I was about to lie again.

" Yes mum but I'm tired and I need to sleep" I said holding her shoulders and went to my room.

Immediately I got to my room I took a bubble bath and change to my shorts and tank top then went to sleep.

I was woken up by a knock on my door by a maid alerting me it was time for dinner. I wore a robe and went down for dinner since the table was all set I just sat down and started to eat when all of a sudden my mum spoke

"Honey are you sure everything is okay between you and Diego?" She asked trying to see through me

"yeah mum everything is fine why do you ask?" I asked her feeling very cautious of my answers.

"Yeah I just feel there's something off about you two something is definitely wrong I just can't pinpoint it don't you think honey" she said touching my dad while he just nodded.

"Seriously Mum I told you we just had a fight and things were just off then but we are okay now I'm back and I'm sure he'll call anytime soon don't worry about it we're fine" I said finishing up my dinner then went up to sleep more as I didn't want any more questions.

Diego's POV

When she started her act I was starting to think she was once an actress but then she acted it too well that I started to suspect she was up to something but I just brushed it off. This is the most she has spoken since the day I met her and to say I was shocked is an understatement. Just When I Was recovering from the shock of her new found confidence she dropped the bombshell. I followed her to the room to ask if she was joking but she behaved so confidence and saucy and no one has ever talked to me like that it pissed me off. I just have to look for a way to get her back to my place who knows maybe she would hurt my baby or even herself, what the heck am I thinking about she can hurt herself so far my baby is not hurt.

"Riiiing, riiiiing" my phone started ringing which brought me back to reality

"Hello Ramos here" I said after picking it

"Hey Christian, how are you doing today?" Rachel asked

"I'm good so why the sudden call?" I asked because I know she doesn't just call to greet me when I'm at work.

"What is that supposed to mean? I feel very offended by that I'm just worried about you"she said feigning ignorance and annoyance though we both know a question is coming up

"Okay fine I'm sorry how are you doing Adrian told me you went to Japan as a volunteer for the victims of the earthquake" I said ( A/N: Just made this up)

"Yes I did but anyways that not why I called" she said going straight to the point.

" Okay it's not like I didn't know before so what do you want to know" I asked running my fingers through my hair.

" Whatever, how could you not tell me you have a girlfriend and she is carrying your baby she said happily squealing.

" Adrian cannot just keep his mouth shut geez? Well yes I would be a father soon but the girl is not my girlfriend and would never be she's just a one night stand who is just lucky to be carrying my child" I said dryly.

"What do you mean I thought you always use protection or were you just so eager" she said teasingly.

" No I was kinda drunk but I could remember what her face" I said and I still don't get why I can't remember that night everything seems blur.

"So what's her name? Is she pretty? Is she nice? When do I get to meet her?" She asked enthusiastically

"I didn't think I was getting interviewed can I get the name of the magazine I'm being interviewed for please" I said teasingly

"Haha very funny just answer I'm curious" she said.

Whatever her name is Ashley she's weird and she's.........." she cut me off before I could finish seriously the nerve of this girl she's so lucky I like her.

"Wait hold on did you say Ashley?" she asked something unsure and kinda worried.

"Yeah why?" I asked

" well what's her last name" she asked again.

"What is with all these questions Rachel "I asked starting to get irritated with her questioning

" Just answer the damn question it is important" she yelled into the phone.

"Geez woman whatever her name is Brooks..... Ashley Brooks satisfied" I answered.

"Yes I am but I don't think you would be" she said quietly still sounding worried.

"What are you talking about? You know I hate suspense" I said seriously.

" I know but I'm sorry I can't tell you over the phone it needs to be discussed face to face when I get back in a month's time we will discuss alone I'm sorry" she said.

"Rachel don't fuck with me. Hello! Hello!" I yelled into the phone but she already hung up.

I tried calling her back but she didn't pick so I tried Adrian to help me talk to her but he was also not picking his phone. Out of frustration I threw the phone and it hit the wall and shattered. How can I be calm when everyone disobeys me and no respect my wishes now I have to figure out what the hell Rachel is hiding and why the hell she's so scared to tell me.

But first I have a very irresponsible fiance who would not go by my rules. I called my personal assistant through the office phone.

"Yes sir" she answered

" Get me a new phone in 2 hours" I ordered then hung up.

I buried myself in work after the call hope we should bring my phone sooner. And it work because before I knew it she knocked on my door.

" Come in" I said without looking up

" Sir this is the phone" she said placing it on the desk.

"Have you added all my contacts and messages and backed up everything?" I asked switching it on

" Yes sir I have also gotten your schedule in there and all" she answered and stood there like a statue

"Do you need anything else?" I asked raising an eyebrow in annoyance.

" No sir" she said then scrambled away.

I tried calling the girl who is carrying my baby and it rang a few times before she picked.

"Hello this is Ashley how may I help you" she asked in a professional tone.

" Yes this is Diego and I need an *beep beep beep*" I said but after saying my name she hung up.

That girl has got guts to hang up on me. I pulled at my hair in frustration and anger at her behaviour. So I decided to call her again but it went to voicemail I tried so many times and it kept on going to voicemail so after some time I stopped and went back to work. But I couldn't really focus which was beginning to get annoying so I went out to have lunch so that I could get my mind off work and every other problems for a bit.

Ashley's POV

I woke up around 5AM the next morning and smiled knowing I was free from the bondage of that beast. I went to brush, wash my face then wore a sport bra, black sweat pants and a black Sketchers then went to the gym. After working out for about one and half hours I went back into the house then greeted the maid arranging the table for breakfast and went to have my bath. After bathing I wore a yellow sundress with black gladiators then went downstairs to have my breakfast.

" Good morning mum, dad" I said cheerily then took a sit

" Morning love and why are you so cherry this morning" my Dad asked smiling.

" Nothing I just missed hanging out here" I said still smiling while eating my blueberry pancakes.

"We have also missed you and your smiles" my mum said.

When we were done eating I called Blake it rang three times before you picked up.

"Hello please who is this?" He asked tiredly it broke my heart hearing him like this.

I tried talking but the words were stuck in my throat

" Hello" he said again I swallowed a lump in my throat then managed to talk again.

"Hi Blake, how are you" I said quietly that even I feared he might not have gotten it.

"Ashley ?"he asked unsure of the voice he heard

" Yeah Blake it's me" I said feeling my eyes water at how sad he sounded.

"Where the hell have you been that you forgot to call or even text me, just to see your face on some stupid magazine with that asshole" he said sounding more hurt then angry.

"I promise I wanted to tell you but I couldn't and I hope you will forgive me I need you we need to talk" I said feeling so restless and trying to hold back my tears.

"Oh please cut the bullshit you want me to believe you wanted to tell me. I thought you were your own woman and you decided what you wanted to do so what changed" he said coldly.

I've never heard him speak like this before to me he only used to this phone when he's doing business and it made me feel so bad that I didn't know when i started crying.

"Please can I just see you and I promise to tell you everything you know I never break my promises so please don't say anything else and just meet me at Raquel's please "I said then hung up I'm not sure what I'm going to do when i meet him but I really hope it ends well I would hate to lose him.
