Nix smiled, at first, he thought that she was furious with him but it turned out she was just jealous.

"Okay wifey," he said plainly and continued eating. Betty managed to ignore his comment. They both ate silently, after they were done nix paid for the food while Betty walked to the car. He drove her home.

"Goodbye," he smiled at her.

She nodded and left without returning his smile. She walked up to her door

"Aren't you coming?" she asked.

Nix smiled widely

"I thought you'll never ask," he thought to himself.

"Coming sweetheart"

Betty sighed and walked up to her room. She went in to freshen up before nix interrupted her. She came out feeling refreshed, her towel was still wrapped around her body. She dried her hair, she went over to change into her nightwear. She felt a hand squeeze her breasts

"My love looks delicious"

"Nix...stop" she aggressively pushed him. He stumbled but gained balance

"tch"

Her towel fell off her body exposing her naked bare body. She unconsciously wrapped her chest with her hands, nix could already see how embarrassed she was. He sighed and covered her. He kissed her on the forehead and went into the shower.

Betty felt her heartbeat. This man-made her crazy over him daily, she couldn't love him more than she did now. She wore her nightgown and lay on the bed waiting for nix to come out. Nix came out after a long cold shower,

"Already sleeping?" he smiled

"You'll pay for this betty"

He put on his undies without any clothes on. He kissed Betty and she stirred up

"You're done?"

"Mm go back to sleep"

"Who said I was sleeping?" she said pinching his cheeks

"If you don't go to sleep I guess ill put you to sleep my own way" he smiled naughtily

"Okay.... let's go with your way"

Nix twitched his brows, and after a while, nix hadn't responded. She slammed her lips on his

"Phoenix...I love you"

The next day lily arrived with Charles. She made a call

"What's wrong?" Charles asked noticing the change in her mood

"She's not answering me"

"Well....we can...."

"Lily..." Betty hugged her

"Missed you..."

"You've grown so much" Betty commented still hugging her

"I'm gonna die Betty"

"Oh sorry..."

Charles' gaze fell on the man who leaned on the car parked behind them. He suddenly became uncomfortable, but he maintained his posture.

The girls who were still lost in their world forgot about the two men who had been giving each other death glares.

"Hmm...." Charles interrupted them

Betty turned to Nix who had been standing there for a while, she smiled as she dragged her friend to him leaving Charles frozen.

"Nix....this is my sister from another mother"

"And lily this is nix"

Nix smiled warmly at lily

"I'm phoenix...Betty's future hubby. Hope you don't mind"

Betty kicked him on his knee

"Ouch...."

"lily let's go home am sure you're tired," Betty said dragging her into the car. Charles walked up to them with a cold look on his face

"She's mine.....so forget it!" he said plainly and joined the girl

Nix chuckled and entered the car.

He and Betty had already reserved a hotel for Charles while lily would stay with Betty.

"What?!"

"Am sorry we didn't tell you earlier" Betty said

"How about lily?"

"She's staying with me" Betty exclaimed excitedly intertwining her hands with lily

Charles was about to disagree when nix cut him off

"She'll be safe with us beside you can always come to visit," he said showing out his perfect white teeth. Charles cursed him from within

Lily who didn't say anything understood that Charles just wanted to make sure she was safe

She went over to him and hugged him

"I'll be fine...f anything happens ill make sure I let you know,", she said softly

"Okay...but please don't hesitate to call me if anything goes wrong Ok?" he hugged her tightly.

"Ok.... let's go" Betty tried to free lily from his embrace. Charles glared at nix who was still smiling at him.

"She'll become Mrs. Thor" Nix grinned

"You haven't won yet" Charles muttered as his jaws clenched in anger.
