In 1972 Hogwarts receives a new and mysterious professor. The class of Divination was never the same after. The journey of Morpheus will be long and daunting can he finally reach his goal? - Au: there will be many changes to the world of Harry potter, such as some Gods will exist, and so will demons and angels. Not a Fix it fic, of course, some futures will change but the main focus will not be on fixing the future. SI: Mc is not reincarnated into this world Timeline: some characters might be younger or older disclaimer: So, most of this obviously belongs to J.K.Rowling. I'm just writing a fanfiction out of it. The cover art is sadly, not mine. ————- (P) (A) (T) (R) (E) (O)(N) LINK: patreon.com/Boogie324

The meeting pt2 -12

*Morpheus pov*

"Seems I was the last one, sorry for being so late I was held up briefly," I said with the most apologetic look I could muster

Seeing the looks everyone was giving me I could tell that didn't help. I resisted the urge to sigh, these young children just don't understand the importance of respect.

"Glad you could some Morpheus!" Gregory spoke up first with a wide smile, the others murmured in soft agreement

Gregory is a master in bone divination, it's truly spectacular seeing him work it is as if he's speaking to the dead.

Scanning the room I saw Samantha avoiding my eyes, she is a master of stone divination. This art also falls under the realm of crystal balls.

Next, I saw Bernard. He sat in his classic wooden chair, he is a special type of diviner possessing the ability to communicate with nature directly.

Sensing the awkward silence Bernard spoke first, "I've communicated with Mother Nature deeply, she foretells a great harvest this year," his smile seemed to lighten up the atmosphere

A great harvest in his terminology does not only apply to crops, but the term also applies to everything in life. What he means is great things will happen this year.

I saw a gleam enter Gregory's eyes, "Ha! Funnily enough after months of preparing the bones of a thestral, bones of a dragon, and bones of a centaur. Each dipped on my special concoction I've seen a year of darkness!" His special concoction is a mix of blood and powders which we know not

Or the other people in the room know not.

"Tch both of you are wrong I used the purest Labradorite I could find! And what I saw was a peaceful calm this next year," Samantha snorted, she always had a fiery temper

"I saw a war coming," a soft voice cut in

"I saw peace!" another voice sounded

"I saw great gains for the future!"

Everyone began to eagerly discuss their findings of what will happen in the coming years.

This council is comprised of masters of divination, each specializing in their own arts. One of the reasons they actually don't like me much is I won't tell them my specialty. After all, I'm a master of all of them.

Samantha, Gregory, Bernard, and I are the strongest here. Which is another reason why they get to open with their predictions first.

Of course, no one is sharing exactly what they saw each member is just giving a brief outline. They want to capitalize on what they learned for themselves.

Each meeting is held 4 years apart. In those four years, the strongest of us prepare before the meeting to do a giant divination that shows the next years to come.

Bernard being here just before me should have just completed his. I can see it in his eyes he thinks he knows the absolute truth.

A common mistake for diviners, alas I can't condemn them I had the same problem when I was a young lad.

Smirking slight I softly began my speech, "be quiet," my words might have been soft but the effect was instant everyone at the table stopped speaking and turned to me

No one was meeting my eyes, for they feared what might be shone.

I began speaking as if I was teaching my young students back at Hogwarts, "You are all masters in divination, some of you are clinically trained others have special traits to help their path. But you are all masters. So why? Why are you getting different results? The answer is simple,"

Pausing briefly to gauge their reactions I continued, "You are all right! It's simple really Samantha used a Labradorite which although powerful will only show up to one year into the future without any other rare ingredients of which I know she doesn't have, it would be impossible to glimpse so far into the worlds future. Bernard used the voice of nature to weave a tapestry of the future of which he says a great harvest will come for the whole world. Bernard should know as well as I that nature's voice perceives time differently than us humans, one year for it should be a couple for us."

Everyone looked deep in thought.

"Finally Gregory, him, and I both know the type of divination he used for his sight does not show time but probability. This means troubled times are likely to appear throughout the whole world sometime in the near future probably after Samantha's prediction,"

Everyone looked shocked at how I could dissect the information they presented so easily. Bernard looked the most shocked after all he didn't know I was familiar with the voice of nature.

This meeting was actually several times more passionate and argumentative than the last one. The reason for that is simple, everyone's vision was too clear.

No matter how strong you are it's impossible to predict the future events of the whole entire world. At most, you can see the events of the country you live in.

These meetings were held to have people from all over the world share the visions they had of their own countries then dissect them and piece together what they could mean for the world.

What most likely happened was magic itself pushing these visions to a clarity unlike any other.

I've only seen this one time before and that was when the gods descended into the mortal realm sparking a war unlike any other.

I could feel a slight smile spread across my face.

This was my sign! This is the life where everything! My hard work! My life's work! Will be put on the line!

I could practically feel my blood boiling with excitement.

"I see," Gregory muttered pulling me from my thoughts

"Regretfully, it makes sense" Samantha muttered

"Did anyone else feel like their visions this time were much clearer?" Bernard asked the group

The quiet voice from before, I think his name was Samir said, "I could practically feel my cards vibrating from excitement this time it was rather weird,"

"I agree,"

"Same,"

"It was odd my Labradorite glowed much brighter," Samantha nodded

"What about you Morpheus?" Gregory asked his loud voice cutting threw sounds of agreement

"I've had some insights here and there," I shrugged softly a smile plastered on my face

*narrator pov*

Morpheus's smile was not what typical people called a smile. It was creepy and unnerving.

Most people found it hard just to stay in his presence, the way he talked, the way he expressed himself. It was truly unerving.

'Creepy bastards smile never reaches his eyes, it's like I'm looking at a mask,' Samantha thought while looking the opposite direction of Morpheus

Soon they council resumed their talks, Morpheus stayed pretty quite during the rest of the meeting. He just sat on his glass chair that when he sat on a magical effect of ethereal faces would appear.

He rested his head in his hand while watching what where to him children squabble about the future.

As everyone began to leave one by one popping away Bernard stayed silent with his eyes closed.

Soon only Bernard and Morpheus were left in the wide room.

"How did you know about nature's voice? It's impossible for one without the gift to understand how it shows me the future," Bernard asked heatedly

His voice went from calm and collected to one of anger showing his true colors after everyone left.

Morpheus whose eyes were closed opened them slightly, "Nature showed you the end didn't it? No, I should say Gaia did," his voice was barren of emotion

Bernard's eyes widened in shock, "H-how did you know!"

Morpheus chuckled softly, his laugh echoed around the room, "Your eyes were glowing gold Bernard, not many would see it but my eyes are special. You recently were in contact with a Diety and saw the future from her eyes."

"Gaia is the only reasonable assumption," he finished slowly

Bernard slowly began to raise his wand under the table as he spoke, "I did see the future! Gaia showed me the truth of what will happen! And I know now I must stop a great evil before it is too late,"

Morpheus looked at the zealous Bernard and shook his head, "Gaia only showed you what she wanted to alas now that you've seen part of the truth I can't let you leave," that same smile was etched into Morpheus's face

Bernard quickly raised his wand right at Morpheus and shouted, "Avada Kedavra!"

Nothing happened, no light, no magic, nothing.

Suddenly the wooden chair Bernard always sat on came to life and sprung forward coiling itself around Bernard.

"What the!" Bernard screamed in alarm

Thick vines coiled around his limbs locking Bernard in place.

"Tsk, you should have known better than attacking someone in their own home," Morpheus laughed loudly

To Bernard, it sounded as if a demon was laughing at him, it sounded like broken glass falling to the floor.

Bernard clenched his teeth in anger "Own Home? This building was made thousands of years ago that's impossible!"

"I guess she didn't show you everything," Morpheus replied while walking toward the bound Bernard

"Now bear with me," Morpheus said while pulling out a silver dagger

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Howls of pain echoed through the room for hours long, So long that eventually, Bernard's voice left him.

*tap*

*tap*

*tap*

The sound of footsteps riveted throughout the room as Morpheus left.

Behind him, Bernard's limp-bound body sat still, his eyes were carved from his head, and his vocal cords ripped out. Blood blanked the room. A large hole where Bernard's heart should be was apparent on his dead body. A pool of crimson red blood gathered at the bottom of his chair reflecting the silver streaks of the moon light.

The wooden chair slowly began to suck up the crimson red blood, as if it finally got a taste of its favorite food.
