The whisper of history

"Are Minotaurs really the best weapon against giants?"

"I can't believe it, Minotaur axes can cut down a hundred trees in ten minutes...."

"Too bad Minotaurs disappeared from the magical world, they haven't been seen in over six hundred years."

In the common room, Alex was curled up in a big yellow armchair, he was currently reading one of the books Susan had lent him from the Ravenclaw private library, and on his side, Harry was eating all the food that could be poked with a wooden fork.

When Alex watched Harry eat that meat pie, he scrunched up his face, Ron on his side was eagerly devising plans that would get Malfoy punished and at best expelled. Although these plans were impossible to implement, he still seemed to be very happy and Harry as his spectator only smiled as he imagined such a scenario.

The exuberant fire in the fireplace was crackling, and because most of the students had gone home for the Christmas vacations, the entire Gryffindor common room lost its usual lively atmosphere, but still, the temperature in the common room did not drop at all.

"It turns out that there are different dragons than common dragons, some tend to collect wealth like greedy old men.... Dragons that betrayed their great creator, received the curse of death in life preventing them from collecting resources, being simple dragons in life."

Looking at the paragraph describing some dragons and many more creatures that became extinct in the war against the White witch, Alex discovered many things and the most interesting was a Lion powerful enough to give the ability of speech to magical and non-magical creatures, creating two types of beasts.

This book he had in his hands belonged to the founder of Ravenclaw house, at least it was written by her according to the credits, but Alex couldn't help but be a little surprised, he actually never thought that such important and special magical creatures would cease to exist in all magical circles.

"Are there demons who shouldn't be dealt with? That sounds very dark, maybe it would be related to some kind of dark wizard who made a pact with a very powerful ancient magic. But in the end, he was consumed by the entity forcing him to kill every gryphon he encountered.... What an ugly description to say they went extinct, what a bummer."

"Hey, Alex, want to play?"

Ron began to teach Harry how to play magical chess much more gently as he wanted a difficult opponent, the only one he hadn't played magical chess with was Alex, who was still in a daze looking at a book, and asked aloud.

"Oh, no, I want to go rest."

Alex stretched his numb waist a lot.

During these last few days he had learned many spells and improved the ones he already knew, although he didn't follow Professor Flitwick's directions about not innovating with spells, it made it much easier for him to discover new things from his words and implement it to his improvements.

"Sleeping so early?"

"I'm exhausted, I've been studying a lot lately and practicing more, so I'll rest this time."

"Good night!"

...

Early the next morning.

The morning sun was warm and a gentle breeze could be felt, the sun was gently spreading across the surface of the snow, reflecting a dazzling white and very welcoming on Hogwarts Castle

The large courtyards were completely white, the castle was covered with dense layers of snow, and even the gloomy dark green Forbidden Forest has turned completely white at this time. The heavy snowfall of the night before did its job in covering the entire Hogwarts grounds in snow.

When the rays of light came through the window of the dormitories in Gryffindor tower, the scarlet curtains prevented those rays of light from completely invading the beds around the room. But still, everyone began to gradually awaken from a deep sleep, and Alex who had opened his eyes stared dazedly at the pile of packages at the foot of the bed.

"Merry Christmas!" Said Ron, still dozing.

"Merry Christmas!" Said Alex and Harry at the same time in completely different tones of voice, reflecting very different emotions.

Alex got out of bed and quickly changed his clothes, after putting the ring on his thumb he quickly walked over to the side of the bed to look at the pile of presents he had received. He reached out his hand; he couldn't wait for the moment to open those gifts, and in an agitated mood, he took the first box and opened it in a few moves.

The first gift Alex took was a pine wood box, it was long and didn't seem to hold such a large object. And when he looked inside, he noticed that a long old key was resting quietly. This key was long and old, with a dark color that glowed from time to time showing that it was a magic key.

"What is he supposed to open with this rusty key?"

Alex was about to put the key aside when he saw a letter under the mother box, as he picked it up and opened it he could see its contents. "When you're ready, you can open the first box in the cellar of your belongings!"

"Cellar of my belongings?" As Alex thought about this, he immediately remembered the key his parents had left him and Professor McGonagall had taken care to give him.

The appearance of the key was different, this also made Alex confused as to where he could use this key. But he remembered those four boxes that he could not open, and when he knew that a key was needed, he immediately linked these events to each other.

Underneath the wooden box, there was a dark book that had no name as a title that could reveal its contents, so Alex opened it and carefully read a few paragraphs.

On any given night, four children without magic discover a closet that serves as a gateway to Narnia, a country frozen in an eternal winter without Christmas. Then, fulfilling the old prophecies, the children, together with Aslan, will be in charge of freeing the kingdom from the tyranny of the White Witch and recover summer, light and joy for all the inhabitants of Narnia.

Fortunately, the four brothers meet the great lion Aslan and take part in the battle to defeat the icy powers of the White Witch forever.

Thus the children with the help of Aslan will free Narnia from the tyranny of the witch and become the greatest rulers of that wonderful world and their reign will be the happiest time in the land of Narnia.

"It can't be..." Alex felt a shiver run through his body, this story he was reading narrated in detail everything that Caspian had told Hermione and him on the first day of school.

As Alex's hands sweated, his heart jumping from a large combination of emotions, he turned the page of the book.

The Golden Age of Narnia.

One day, while out hunting, the kings arrive at the place where they arrived in that world and return to their own. There they find that they are still children and that time in Narnia is very different from our world.

But not everything is as bright as spring in Narnia, for in their world evil still exists and the witch whom they thought they had defeated appeared again. But their torment and war this time was not directed at Narnia, but at their own world.

Filled with courage and fear, the kings return to Narnia to prepare an army large enough to defeat the witch and all her followers.

The end of that war is uncertain, but what is known is that many magical families of Narnia were exterminated, many cursed by the cult of Tash and many others were never able to have descendants worthy of their magic and blood.

Those wizards asked Aslan for help, but the great monarch had disappeared as he always did. Many of the wizards were angry with Aslan, who had abandoned them, but many others objected to such disrespect from the magical families.

War again was about to break out in Narnia, for many could not let such disrespect to Narnia happen. They had all sworn allegiance to Alsan, and when they failed to do so, they were either dead or serving the witch. But no one, no one had ever sworn eternal loyalty to Tash in exchange for saving him and giving them more power.

Tash's cult persists in the last battle against the White Witch, it is said that the goal of Tash's tale is to completely eliminate all Narnians, but all Narnians are punished for even thinking of such an offense.

Tash is said to be an evil being and the complete opposite of Aslan, with the head of a vulture and four arms, and is much larger than a man. The Calormenes always act on his behalf, that is, all those who made a deal with him.

By then, one of the wizards who gave his soul to Tash offered a deal to the survivors of those magical families, and all of them accepted except for one of the most powerful magical families of Narnia... The Aodhan Family, children of fire and rulers of the Thunder Mountains.

Many kingdoms of the magical families that betrayed Narnia abandoned their people, and all of them now await a king, the rightful leader of great lands and villages teeming with inhabitants. By the time an heir emerges, the bells will ring and a new king will be born to lead Narnia.

Narnia, the land where anything can happen.

Dropping the book on the bed, Alex was about to scream when the letters he had read began to disappear from the book that is so far filled with letters.

"I can't believe it!"
