Everything is getting more and more confusing

At dinner time, Alex made a lot of notes about what he had learned so far. The things that were happening to him, those things that included dreams of the past and projections of places he had never been, and should be related to those memories he had forgotten from his childhood.

During all this time of research, what he did not remember since he was a child became more and more disturbing. This also prompted him to look for something magical that could have the power to erase memories, recollections or do something similar.

And there was a spell that met those characteristics, a powerful incantation that can even ruin people's lives if used to its full power. The name of this spell is called Obliviate, a spell to erase memory.  If used in an improper way, it has the ability to erase the memory of any individual, to the point of causing brain damage, almost impossible to recover.

The memory incantation serves to forget memories, not just a specific memory, but all in general, leaving you without memory, in this case, you ruin the life of a person in the worst possible way.

Although its most normal use was to erase a particular memory, for example, if a Muggle saw something he shouldn't have, that memory was erased and that was it. This led him to speculate that his parents erased his memory, could it be that he witnessed the confrontation that led to their deaths and they did it just to prevent him from taking revenge?

But if so, why is he recovering his erased memories? That half-goat lady was a being of an intelligent magical species, a Faunus. But the most surprising thing she discovered was that the Fauns were extinct since the war against the White Witch over six hundred years ago.

So, if what he remembers are erased memories, is it possible that he has a relationship with a Faunus? Is it even possible? Alex when he came to this conclusion doubted, really doubted what he was speculating.

He still remembers what Professor McGonagall told him about his parents, and she said that a certain person could tell him something about it and no doubt he would go to him for answers. He promised himself not to dig into the past as it would bring him a lot of instability in his life as a wizard, but now there is no choice but to do so as it is causing him continuous problems.

Those people in the Strong family recognized him, or rather recognized his last name. Neville's grandmother did the same, an expression of disgust. Why is his last name that until long after entering Hogwarts is being filled with mysteries?

Alex, besides just being confused, no matter how many doubts formed in his head, there was no one who could answer them. Therefore, he had to do it slowly and without saturating his mind on this topic that he clearly will not be able to solve it in a short time.

But after asking Ron if he knew any family with his surname, he said he had not heard it and sent a letter to his parents asking them about it. Alex, knowing this, was much calmer and was only waiting to receive the answer from Ron's parents who were very educated magicians at least in the British magic circle.

It wasn't all that simple and now Alex implores that it wasn't so much trouble, he didn't really want to be involved in such deep things in this world he knows so little about.

...

Gryffindor Tower, dormitories.

At this point, it was probably after ten o'clock at night. Because he wasn't in the habit of keeping a watch with him, Alex didn't know the time very accurately. He just looked around the common room and most people went to rest, it was almost time after all.

Alex moved his body lazily on the long couch. Discarding the things that bothered him, he had been practicing with the improved version of the Wingardium Leviosa spell, he could now use it without reciting the incantation and its power was becoming more and more impressive as was the telekinesis. He was also learning about other advanced and novel spells recently.

But now that wasn't important to him, it had been a long time since he had felt so comfortable, and now he was just waiting for his friends to find Susan and make the exchange.

It wasn't until everyone in the common room except for a few people left that Alex was waved over by Hermione who couldn't wait any longer.

"What's the hurry? The meeting was later but if we leave now we won't make it in time, now every second counts."

Alex, who was lying on the long couch stretched his waist and shook his head, trying to ease his numb nerves, but found that he couldn't recover no matter how hard he tried.

"Ah... A cramp in my butt..." Alex muttered and then thought, "Never mind, anyway, I'll just show them the way this time and we won't learn any important spells, nothing bad will happen."

Alex had long wanted to take his friends to the Room of Requirement, but none of them really wanted to go with him until now that they were interested because of Susan's appearance and the need to learn interesting spells.

Stretching again, Alex looked at his friends who were looking at him with stars in their eyes and nodded.

"The time has come, let's go!"

"Let's go!!!"

The road to the Room of Requirement was such a familiar journey for Alex that he couldn't forget it, but because there were many people still on the road, they couldn't use the usual routes like before.

But Alex had solutions for these minor inconveniences, so the four of them moved forward cautiously, following Alex closely for fear that Filch or Mrs. Norris would emerge from the shadows at some point.

Fortunately for them, the moonlight seemed to be protecting them tonight, and they soon reached the seventh floor without any danger, and Alex could see a familiar figure leaning against the wall with a completely new expression.

"Alex, finally you and your friends are here." Susan's eyes twinkled a little when she saw Alex and his three friends, but this time she was acting more natural.

"I'm sorry, but our deal can't be done in front of your friends, do you want me to hand you these mysterious books in front of them?" Susan asked in a mysterious way and said, "What if one of you tells some teacher about the exchange?"

"Stop being sarcastic!" Ron and the others said in a chorus tone.

"Are you saying that my friends might tell some teacher about our exchange? I don't know what kind of friends you've had, but at least mine would never betray me and of that I'm sure."

Late at least these days hasn't had the patience he enjoyed before he came to Hogwarts, his seriousness was slowly shifting to cold and impulsive emotional responses. After all, with what he had seen lately, there were really very few that could stand his situation.

"I didn't mean to make them angry." Susan smiled slightly and said, "Do you want to make the trade with the Room of Requirement? That secret looks to me like it won't be enough, isn't that bad for our deal?"

"What?" Alex was surprised to find out that Susan knew about the Room of Requirement, so he couldn't help but instinctively ask. "Then, since I have nothing to offer you, our deal ends now."

After saying that, Alex turned around with intentions of leaving this place. There was nothing else to do and he clearly had no intentions of putting up with the sarcasm of an unknown person.

Hermione, Harry and Ron looked dumbfounded at Susan, who had accused them of being bad friends and traitors. They now had a bad impression of Susan, but Susan who discovered this detail hastily said, "This is a little joke, my God, I thought they would be related to the Weasley's pranks..."

Alex didn't speak, he found that for some reason he couldn't feel Susan's emotions even now, which made him this alert and unwilling to relate so closely to her.

"When she stopped acting… Does she not know that I noticed how she acts or does she really not care about that?" Alex couldn't think quietly, but he was too overwhelmed to focus on these details right now.

"It seems your patience lately hasn't been good, did something bad happen to you that I could help you with?" Susan picked up the old books from the floor and put them in Alex's arms, so Alex had to hold them tightly.

"I don't have anything interesting to give you..."

"That doesn't matter."

After that, Alex ignored everything else and walked in front of the wall to open the Room of Requirement, to learn magic spells as he wished.

"This is... The Room of Requirement?!"

"I only heard rumors, how interesting..."

Seeing Susan staring at the surroundings, Alex shook his head not knowing what to think.

At least three people from the group entered this room for the first time and had calmed down, but there was one figure who acted exactly as Alex did the first time he was here.

"Look at these books Alex!" Hermione eagerly patted the pastes of the rows of thick sheepskin bound books on a bookshelf, ""Common spells and their magical solutions, defense against the Dark Arts.... All the spells white wizards should know..... Oh, Wow."

Hermione's face was flushed with excitement and she looked very cute. She looked back at Alex, "This room is really wonderful, why didn't I come with you earlier?"

She ignored Ron's muttering to the side, "But what is that question Hermione, earlier you were yelling about how Alex was continually breaking the rules, even claiming that if he got caught, they would take points away from Gryffindor house."

Ron then pulled a copy of the defensive counter attack spell encyclopedia straight off the shelf and started reading it.

Alex shook his head as he saw his friends very excited about the wonderful room he had been avoiding coming from. He put Susan's borrowed books aside so as not to confuse them with the ones in this room. Then he glanced at them briefly and picked one up to read it.

"What do you think, are you satisfied with this deal?"

"Of course I'm satisfied!"

Susan walked over to Susan and said, "Fire spells, a very powerful element that could serve you in many ways if you learn it in depth, rules for magical defense and deception..."

"You should learn all these spells, for a better future..."
