Harry Potter: Journey to Godhood

Follow Alaric in his journey to be the strongest wizard out there by hook or by crook. This is the story of a guy who went to a different world to get power and to find new relationships in his life. Read how he fights off Voldemort in process becoming the leader of new generation of wizards and builds up his new life with his new friends, family and wife. A story of a wizard using his wisdom and power to ascend to the pinnacle of the world, who will do anything to protect his new family. This is a little slow paced and also somewhat slice of life story so keep that in mind, that focuses more on Alaric's relationship. There will be heavy changes to the original plot so be aware and also MC becomes overpowered rather quickly as the story moves forward and he won't hesitate to take some drastic measures if necessary, so he won't have a moral compass. Chapter 199: Chaos Plot

Of course, this was something Alaric couldn't allow.

In the original story, after King Robert's death, all the lords divided into five factions.

The Stark family of the North declared independence and became the Kings in the North.

Due to the marriage between Catelyn Tully and Eddard Stark, the Tully family of the Riverlands joined the Stark faction.

On the other hand, the Lannister family, controlling the Westerlands and the Crownlands, formed another faction.

Robert's younger brother Stannis established his own faction at Dragonstone.

Lastly, Robert's youngest brother Renly not only inherited Storm's End but also married into the Tyrell family, which controlled the Reach, forming a faction.

Finally, the Iron Islands declared independence, forming their own faction, while the remaining two regions, the Vale and Dorne, declared neutrality.

However, the War of the Five Kings ultimately ended with the victory of the Lannister family.

Among them, the weakest Stannis, with the help of the Red Priestess Melisandre, assassinated Renly and attempted to gain the support of the Stormlands and the Reach.

But ultimately, he lost the support of Renly's Tyrell allies, who, in exchange for marrying Cersei's son Joffrey, sided with the Lannisters. Stannis's army was also defeated under the strategy of Tyrion Lannister.

While the Stark family initially had the upper hand against the Lannisters, they were later attacked by the Iron Islands and betrayed due to poor political maneuvering.

Additionally, their ally, the Tully family, was weakened by the Lannisters early in the war, providing no help to the Starks and ultimately leading to the near annihilation of House Stark by traitors.

Alaric wanted to ensure that the Seven Kingdoms remained in turmoil and couldn't accept the outcome where one family dominated.

In his plan, Stannis was completely unnecessary because his faction collapsed with the death of Renly.

The Tyrells, the second wealthiest house in the Seven Kingdoms and with military strength even surpassing the Lannisters, ended up siding with them.

However, it is no longer possible for him to reproduce the assassination of Renly.

This is because the priest of R'hllor who used magic to assassinate Renly for him was Melisandre, and now Melisandre had joined Dragon God Church.

R'hllor followers joined the Dragon God Church, and R'hllor faith was almost swallowed up by the Dragon God Church, so Stannis had no choice but to stay on Dragonstone.

However, Alaric had another plan for Stannis.

Next, the Tullys should not have been weakened by the Lannisters before Robert's death because in the Riverlands, only the Tullys, as the lords, were true allies of House Stark.

The rest were just opportunistic vassals. However, due to the Tullys' loss of power and Robb Stark's poor political skills, this led to the betrayal of many allies.

If the Lannisters had faced the Vale before the war, it would have been different.

The Vale, unable to stand alone, would have to confront the Lannisters, weakening the power of the puppet master Baelish.

Meanwhile, the Tyrells would maintain their strength, ensuring that House Stark wouldn't face betrayal from the Riverlands' opportunistic nobles but rather stand against the Lannisters.

In this scenario, the power of the Seven Kingdoms would be divided into five factions.

The Tyrells and the Starks would besiege the Lannisters. Stannis, with control over Dragonstone and a fleet, would serve as a hindrance.

The Starks would also face a surprise attack from the Iron Islands. Although the Lannisters were powerful, they would face enemies on all fronts.

This way, the entire Seven Kingdoms would remain in turmoil for some time, preventing the Lannisters from establishing a unified and stable rule.

The first step to achieving this was to have Tyrion die in the Eyrie.

Since Tyrion had escaped through trial by combat, Alaric's response was simple.

He used his magical abilities to infiltrate the Eyrie and create a small accident during the trial by combat, resulting in the death of the champion fighting for Tyrion.

Thus, in the Eyrie, Tyrion was executed by Lysa Arryn for the murder of Jon Arryn, Protector of the Vale.

Then, he left to return to King's Landing to continue spending time with two girls.

Meanwhile, Lysa soon regretted her decision in the Eyrie because Tywin Lannister, enraged by grief, immediately marched towards the Vale, intending to avenge his son's death and expand his power.

Unfortunately, it was too late for regrets. She had to prepare to go to war with the Lannisters while also sending a letter to King's Landing, seeking advice from Baelish.

However, this letter was intercepted by Alaric. He couldn't let Baelish understand the situation in the Vale so quickly; he was waiting for Baelish to play a big role in King's Landing.

On the other hand, in King's Landing, King Robert had another surprise move. He decided to go hunting, leaving all political matters to his Hand, Eddard Stark.

During Robert's absence, Eddard finally obtained results from the investigation into Jon Arryn's death.

Jon had discovered a fact before his death: neither of Robert's two princes nor his princess were his biological children.

Through careful investigation into the genealogy and history of the major noble families of the Seven Kingdoms, as well as discreet inquiries into Robert's illegitimate children, Jon discovered that regardless of the mother's hair color, all Baratheon offspring had black hair.

This was the meaning behind his dying mutterings about "The seed is strong".

However, the three children born to Cersei were all blonde, just like their mother.

And their true father was Cersei's twin brother, Jaime Lannister.

Unfortunately, Eddard was not a good politician. He was too honorable and sympathetic. He decided to confront Cersei face-to-face, giving her a chance to flee with her children.

Unfortunately, Cersei was not one to let such opportunities slip by. She used the buffer time Eddard gave her to plot Robert's murder and bribed the city guard.

In the end, what Eddard received was news of Robert Baratheon on his deathbed after an accident during the hunt.

As Robert lay dying on his sickbed, Eddard decided to have Robert's younger brother Stannis succeed him.

He decisively rejected Renly's suggestion of holding the three children hostage and then rejected Petyr Baelish's proposal for Cersei and Jaime's thirteen-year-old son Joffrey to succeed. Instead, he proposed himself as Regent.

He was indeed a faithful companion to Robert, but unfortunately, in this game of thrones, he not only took the wrong path but also trusted the wrong people because he allowed Baelish to go and buy the city guard to stand on his side.

This set the stage for his ending.
