A RAMBLING, THE FUTURE OF THIS STORY?

Sighhh… I was going to write a chapter but well here we go….

I feel like I need to clarify things a bit. Went by the name 'nosebleed' in Jan 16, 2019, I created a Thread on NU forum [1]. The thread was about HP fanfic. That was the first time I asked about fanfic online because I was really into it. I admit that I don't read a lot of HP fanfic, a tiny amount compared to the real deal. But from those that I have read, I didn't find the one that I am looking for, at least the one that follows this rules:

1. The MC of the novel has to be a non-original character from the original Book.

2. The MC of the novel has to actively seek for power/magic power/mysteries about magic.

I posted the same criteria in my NU forum thread.

I like the story of HP. But the thing is, although there is magic in a magical world that is the HP world, I find that the 'Magic' itself has no balance rules and somewhat weak in one point then strong in a completely unexpected way. Let me explain a bit. In most story that I read, a creature has a varying amount of strength. There are powerful creatures and there are weak creatures. The concept of strength and weak is extremely interesting in my opinion. But this concept is quite vague in HP universe. Imagine a dragon, Dragon in most stories will be a 'Last Boss' type. It is expected to be one of the most powerful creature around. You kill a bunch of demon then the boss came, a DRAGON. That is usually the case. In HP world, the dragon is a creature that looks scary and powerful (there is even a dragon that guards Gringotts), but in actuality there is no scene where it shows the might of a powerful creature. I might be wrong about it, but that is what I have seen in the movie, the book might contain details about it but I read it years ago so I forgot. The point is a powerful creature can be defeated easily. Another example, an extremely powerful Curse like the killing curse has no restriction as to who can use it and who can't. That makes something that is supposed to be exclusive because of its strength into a common cabbage in the street. This particular example makes a relatively weak character like Peter Pettigrew can kill Cedric in an instant, a completely strong power in an unexpected way. The two example makes me crazy. I want to dive more into the realm of magic and so instead of cursing the plot of the original work, I wrote a "FANFIC" that is focus on strengths, magical concepts, the power behind magic spells, how Magic works and a Main Character that actively seeks them. This is the reason why I started writing this story. The focus of this story will make the plot of the original works changes drastically, as the MC solves more and more mysteries behind all the imbalance of power in HP universe, effectively changing this Magical World. That is the plan. That is the future of this story. I am not going to write a story where all the elements of the original work stays the same just the change in MC. And so for that matter, a comment by a reader was correct. In chapter 4, a reader went by the name "Licorice" gave his comment and I quote:

"considering how many things author made not like it should be i dont care already ...only problem is that he calls this fanfic while its clearly aufic"

- Licorice

He is right. This is not a 100% FanFic. It's more of an AuFic. I only use the term FanFic because there is only THAT genre here on webnovel. Don't believe me? Try creating an original here and search for the genre Aufic.

"A fanfiction term meaning Alternate Universe.

An AU fic is a fanfic which includes elements of a book which are completely unfeasible.

That Harry Potter fic where his parents were still alive was totally an AU."

- Urban Dictionary

So don't expect something like any other FanFic where the MC is a student of Hogwarts, solve HP's problems, and so on. This story is not going to be like that, although Jake might help sometime but is because Bepp bepp (spoiler). In short, I am not going to make Jake lying around every day helping HP to stay true to the original plot. No!! So please do not expect something like that. Instead I will a different adventure for Jake.

Let us see what I mean by "do not expect something like that". Here is an example, s review by one of the reader:

"The concept is interesting but the world is too different from the HP universe...

It could have been great if you limited the character to only cultivate his soul and his body at his own pace, without interference.

Stuff too complicated to understand mean you will lose lots of readers in your description. Simple is best.

Improvement can be done on the punctuation. Bring energy in your story (without excess)."

OR

"Honestly you're not building up hype, you're overdoing it

You could've created this novel in a cultivation world and done fine but 99% of everything so far isn't working for the HP world and is making it worse, I wouldn't say bad but honestly can't say it's decent either

Hopefully future chapters fix this but so far this story is not good"

FOR THE RECORD. I AM NOT BASHING THESE READERS. I RESPECT EACH COMMENTS BECAUSE EVRYONE HAS RIGHTS TO GIVE THEIR OPINIONS ON THE MATTER.

I just want to point out that DO NOT expect things that is not going to be the main focus of the story. If you find anybody who expect things like the above example, please help me remind them. I thought the synopsis was enough to give you readers a general idea that An Immortal is going to change the world of HP.

Once again, I do not mean harm by pointing out the comments. I just feel like I need to clarify my goals. Thanks…
