96. A Bet And The Diablos

"So how would you like to play the bet!" Kosei asked looking over the large garden in front of them.
"First one to reach the center of this ruin would be the winner, how about it!" Balzeride Kreutzer said with a smug smile thinking that he had already won as he had some insider information.
Kosei and the chivalry order of the Royal officer Academy gathered in front of the garden Ruin in their Drag-Rides.
Principle Relie had to follow the command of the noble council and let their Chivalry Order investigate the cause of the awakening of the Ragnarok, Iblis.
(A/N: if you want to know more about the Ragnaroks in detail then I would advise you to visit fandom or wiki.)
"Hmmm! I don't mind but don't come crying to me if you lost!" Kosei said in a mocking tone listening to what he was betting on.
Even though at the last second, the location got changed from the academy area to the Ruin Garden but dual will continued.
Kosei doesn't want to see this meddlesome assrat who doesn't know what's good for him so that's why he agreed to finish the dual here.
"Rooaaaaar!"
The roaring sound came from the garden and then a dozen or so, abyss came out from the Ruin garden.
Among them one has a more striking presence than others, making him stand out.
"Diablos!"
Lisha-chan, Krulcifer Einfolk, and Kosei, everyone identified the abyss in the forefront, seeing the menacing appearance and a lot different from the normals ones following behind.
"An abyss which can wipe out a city in an instant, a very dangerous and troublesome opponent!" Lisha-chan commented looking at the Diablos inhaling dangerously while looking towards them.
"Look out, everyone!" Kosei's shout alerted them before a few of the students got scratched by claw attacks.
Just as Diablos moved, the rest of the abyss followed behind and attacked them.
"Bang...bang...bang...!!"
Lisha-chan started firing her armament which was followed by other students.
But no one was able to leave a scratch on the Abyss, but the normal abyss got handled easily.
The diablos flew around too fast for anyone to pinpoint him accurately so all the shots missed the mark.
"Hmmnph!"
Balzeride Kreutzer disdainfully snorted at their pitiful attempt to hit the Diablos.
"Watch and learn, how an elite should make a shot!" He stepped forward and his Divine Drag-Ride glowed and formed a circle behind it.
"Bannnng....Booomn!!"
"Hahahaha! You are just an insignificant abyss compared to Ragnarok, so get obliterated!" Balzeride Kreutzer shouted an insult at the abyss and fired a double shot from his Divine Drag-Ride.
It doesn't matter how many times, Kosei sees this magic circle behind every Divine Drag-Ride, he can't quite understand the logic behind it.
This world clearly has no idea about magic then how the hell, they came up with this cheap magic circle?
"Roooooaaaarrr!!"
Hearing the disturbing noise, he came back from the contemplation and looked at the abyss which was recovering from the gunshot of Balzeride Kreutzer.
"Roaaarr!"
Diablos was clearly pissed at the moment, feeling insulted that he got injured from the attack of an insect.
(A/N: Hahaha! Even Abyss thinks that Balzeride Kreutzer is an insect, pun intended..)
"Why am I feeling the energy drain from my Drag-Ride, I haven't used any energy for output purposes!" Krulcifer Einfolk muttered loud enough for Kosei to hear her words as she suddenly felt that a portion of her Drag-Ride's energy have been sapped.
"Hehe! So do you still want to compete with me?" Balzeride Kreutzer came beside Kosei with a smug expression on his face while asking him, not knowing that Kosei had already figured out what kind shitty ability he just used to achieve the clear shot on fast-moving Diablos.
"Hmmn! When you are ready to play with me and have eagerly asked so how can I deny you? I can't wait to see what kind of expression would your face have at the end of this mission!" Kosei replied in sarcastic remarks while words were full of mocking tone.
"Hahaha! We will see, how this would turn out and whose face would be worth looking at!" Balzeride Kreutzer laughed while suppressing the urge to curse at Kosei but as he is a nobleman and there are ladies present so he didn't want to destroy his facade in front of them, but he still replied in an equally mocking tone. He was confident in his Divine Drag-Ride abilities that he would win.
"Roarrrr!!"
Once again Diablos attacks but this time wasn't in the mood to play around. The abyss almost injured a few students so Kosei had to step up and protect them from harm.
"Bang...bang....bang....!!"
The gunshots are useless in front of Diablos' speed, the abyss smoothly maneuvers in the air so the shots just directly get passed by a hairs breath.
"Kru-chan, could you stand down for a bit as you can feel that you are draining your energy for nothing!" Kosei asked Krulcifer Einfolk who has activated her Wise Blood mode of her Divine Drag-Ride.
"Hmmm! Okay...!!" Krulcifer nodded her head feeling that if she used her Drag-Ride ability for a few more minutes, it would go out of control because of lack of energy.
"Ladies, back off and activate your shields to the highest level." Kosei's shout echoed in the surrounding and the chivalry order immediately retreated at the safe distance and activated the shields.
"Realise, Buster Mode!" Kosei muttered and slowly Matter started to transform, which turn into a one-handed large gun with double barrels.
"Domain Slip!" He moved his right hand in a certain gesture and Diablos got confined in the circular domain. When the Diablos tried to move in retaliation but instead slipped and fell face-first inside the circular domain.
"Charge at full capacity, Fire!" Kosei muttered slowly and the gun got filled with energy then a powerful shot got fired.
"Baaaaaaammn!!"
The impact of the shot on Diablos made a lot of shock waves travel around him, making his hair and dress flutter.
"Brace for the impact, Now!!" Just as Kosei shouted towards the girls who were waiting for something to happen, immediately guarded themselves tightly.
"Boooooomn!"
