Walk with a Beautiful Girl

There will be a chance to get a peek at the goods too! Though maybe it'd be best not to do such a thing just yet.

"Okay if that's what you want to do." I reply while waiting on her.

"Follow me then." Riyori says with a smile on her face.

That's exactly what I did, followed her all the way to her room where I waited outside the door for her. I should've expected that I wouldn't get a peek at the amazing figure she has but soon enough I will.

"I won't be long." Riyori says while closing the door behind her.

Hope she knows it's quite a long walk but again I'm not going to complain about her joining me on this walk. I just hope her personal guard doesn't think I'm up to something because of it.

But I also just realized it's her ball so wouldn't they suspect something is up if she just disappears out of nowhere? God I really hope this doesn't come back to bite me later on.

Then again I don't think she was going to give me an option here.

"I'm ready, let's go before they catch on." Riyori says while trying to be sneaky.

"Okay." I reply quietly.

She lead us out of there and then we began to walk back to my manor, it definitely takes quite awhile to get there.

"So why waste your time walking back to my manor with me?" I ask her with a bit of curiosity in my voice.

"You're my friend and I wouldn't feel right after everything that happened." Riyori answers with a positive voice.

"Yeah." I say while looking ahead.

I wouldn't have wasted my time to do such a thing but I guess this girl is definitely a strange one. To leave a ball planned by your family just to accompany someone you just met is bizarre.

At least she didn't look down on me of make fun of me for any reason. She didn't even care if it effected her status so maybe this will be the start of a good relationship.

I've never really had friends before, let alone someone like her. Izza is a friend I guess but she's been there a long time and was originally just a maid.

Even with her being close to me, I guess I've never really gotten to experience much.

"It's a long walk but I believe it's worth joining you on." Riyori says while she focused on me.

I tried not to make it obvious but I did notice her staring at me as we walked. I'm sure she's noticed me staring at her a few times already but maybe we're both too kind to say something.

That or maybe we both don't mind it one bit which would make more sense.

"Thank you for joining me." I reply with a sincere voice.

"Kenji are you part of royalty yourself?" She asks while completely throwing me off.

I did not expect that kind of question one bit but shit I guess I'll have to answer it.

"I can't say I am anymore but maybe once in the past my family was considered to be royalty." I respond honestly.

"What do you mean?" Riyori questions with a curious tone.

"My family once had a kingdom a long time ago but I barely know much about it other than the fact that it collapsed." I answer while thinking about it myself.

I'd honestly like to learn more about my family since there's a lot I never got to learn because everyone disappeared from my life. I still live quite well but I'm not a big fan of living my life in such mystery all the time.

Eventually you question what happened and I'm sure anyone would be curious why something happened. It's common to want to know such a thing.

I've wanted these answers for a long time but haven't been able to find them and I'm not sure if I'll ever get the answers to all of them.

"I'm sorry to hear that Kenji." Riyori says with a sympathetic voice.

"It's honestly okay." I reply while we continued to walk.

Well, moving past that whole thing and thinking about the fact that I'm walking with this amazing girl is great. I've really not known her long yet something makes me want to know more about her.

Maybe not the royal stuff but the things that make her who she is I guess. Again I'm not the type for just having her since I didn't come into the world with that mindset apparently.

I'll never understand why I was born with this way of thinking but I'm not entirely sure it's that bad.

Either way, the walk continued on for a few hours before finally reaching the manor and it was quite dark out now.

"I can't believe how far this walk was." Riyori says with a bit of a surprised tone in her voice.

"Yeah, it's a bit dark out now. You should probably stay till your guard or something arrives." I respond with a bit of a concerned voice.

I wouldn't want her walking all the way back by herself, especially not in the dark.

There's a lot in this world that can harm us, such as goblins, ogres, skeletons, bandits, and so much more. I'd rather her stay here if possible, at least till daylight.

"I'd appreciate that actually. This place is really nice too." Riyori says while in awe.

"Well let's head on inside then." I reply while opening the gate for her.

After letting her in I closed the gate and we both went inside. She seemed to still be in awe with each step she took.

Maybe it's uncommon for someone like me to have such a nice place to live when we aren't even royalty anymore. I wouldn't know for sure though what people think of me other than what I heard at the ball.

"I have plenty of spare rooms so I'll show you where you can stay." I say while leading the way.

She didn't say too much yet since she was still admiring the beauty of the manor it seems. But after a few moments we had reached the hallway which my bedroom had been located at.

Right across from my bedroom was another bedroom that she could stay in, there was a few rooms in this hallway but this was the closest.

"Thank you for this Kenji." Riyori says with a grateful voice.

"No, thank you." I respond before heading in my room.

She went into her room while I went into mine. I'm not sure what will happen from here yet but I think it'll be good.
