The Strange Man

The knowledge of Magic has been something everyone is supposed to be taught at a young age but not everyone is gifted.

I know this is random but I promise it matters, magic is what a lot of people rely on in this world of mine. Magic is something I believe I'm highly knowledgeable on since I've used it all my life since I learned for the first time.

"Kenji?!?" Izza Shouts.

Everyone is worried because fire is in my hand and yet I'm calm while thinking about this world. Magic, the knowledge of it, everything.

I've always been this way, thoughts coming and going as situations like this make themselves known. I just do it to keep myself from going over the edge.

But enough of this.

I stood up from my chair and began to pull my arm back as the fire tries to engulf it. Something was different about my magic, it was a lot stronger than usual.

Plus it never does this to me no matter what.

"Kenji your eyes are glowing." Riyori says while staring at me.

Hmm, this is definitely odd.

"Someone of immense power. How interesting." Finler says while drawing a magic shield.

Without speaking back to this asshole I fired a wave of fire towards him.

Blast!!!

The fire clashed against his shield and it seemed to be cracking but yet it was holding. This strange man is well equipped but I'm not stopping here.

Thump, Thump.

Everything hurts like before, the stabbing feeling is back...

"Gwahhhhh!!!" I Scream out in pain.

A strange black and red aura began to surround my body, I could see it as the pain went throughout me. It's terrible...

"Not in control I see." Finler says while grinning.

"Master Kenji!" Lilly Shouts as she enters the room.

One of the other maids also enters and seems to throw something towards Finler.

"Too many magic users here." He says while trying to avoid the projectile.

Pierce!! Drip!

"Damn it!" He Shouts while looking at his arm.

"Enjoy the treat." The maid says.

Dash!!!

"It'll be okay master Kenji." Lilly says while making different hand gestures.

"W-What are you doing?" Riyori asks while watching her hands.

"Fixing the seal before it's too late." Lilly answers while putting down a magic circle.

Right beneath me was a bright red circle that began to send shocks throughout my body.

"Gahh!!" I shout in pain.

Everything felt like it was dying down but the pain was immense and I couldn't take it. Those chains felt like they were wrapping around my heart once more.

The aura slowly began to disappear but as it did I could feel myself slowly losing consciousness. Guess this is a side effect from whatever this was..

"What was that?" Riyori asks while looking down at me.

"That was one of many problems to come. It's part of his bloodline." Lilly answers confidently.

"He can just go rampant?" She questions.

"Not rampant but it's because his magic and power combine as one, dragon blood runs in his veins." Lilly Responds.

"Dragon Blood?!?!" Riyori exclaims.

"His family has had it for many years, as a rare race they carried this burden. Yet it can also be a gift." Lilly says while looking down at me.

Everything was dark for awhile but I finally woke up after what seemed like forever.

"How long was I out?" I ask while sitting up.

They had taken me to my room and it seemed like Riyori was in here alongside the others. All of them waiting on me was definitely a good sign in my book.

"A couple of hours." Riyori says while staring at me.

"I see, but now we can get going." I reply while getting out of bed.

I won't let something like this slow me down, I've got a lot to do in my life and I won't be held back no matter what. Starting today I'm going to continue my journey and accomplish my goals no matter what.

"You sure that's a good idea Kenji?" Izza asks while standing up from her chair.

"Yes I promise I'm okay." I respond positively.

I'm glad everyone's worried but I'm okay, just need to get use to whatever that feeling was. My family has ties to some ancient dragon God so I need to expect these things right?

That'd make my family a family of gods I presume? But thar means someone was strong enough to stop my family from doing what they wanted.

Like our kingdom for example, it collapsed because someone knew what to do. My mothers death was also caused by someone who knew how to kill us.

Even if we're powerful someone knows something I don't. I'll figure that out too.

I won't let anyone stop me from claiming what I deserve. I'll rule over this world and have so many girls alongside me it's not even funny!

"Kenji?" Riyori calls my name.

"Yes?" I respond.

"Just making sure you're here with us." She says while looking back towards the door.

"Of course. Let's get going. We got horses to ride and places to see." I reply while heading for the door.

Everyone followed behind me and kept a close eye it seemed since they were worried that I was still hurt. This was good but I know I'll have to get use to this since they are my friends.

Future wives if you please. I'm going to protect them all no matter what.

But as we walked towards the stables one thing stayed in my mind. How did he get inside the manor in the first place?

Finler had to have broken through the barrier to get in here or someone let him in. I'll act as if I don't know much for now but I'll need to do some careful investigating when I return.

"Everything is by the horses already?" I ask while walking.

"Yes, we wanted to prepare if you woke up ready to go. Like you are now." Riyori answers.

I'm glad they are smart, this will definitely be a lot of fun. Learning more about this power and magic while looking for the man who causes my family pain.
