On the Road (1)

Beginning our travel for Mistel I began to realize how different it was for me to be traveling outside of the manor with someone. Izza went occasionally with me but those were smaller trips compared to this.

I didn't see myself traveling with someone like Riyori but I have no issues with it whatsoever.

"What are we doing when we stop?" Riyori asks curiously.

"I brought some stuff to set up for us to rest if need be." I respond.

I've always prepared myself before doing something big like this which is something my father taught me a long time ago. Before he disappeared he showed me how to be prepared for anything.

I really do miss them both.

"So you're not going to try to grope me again right? hehe." Riyori asks as she let's out a cute laugh.

This girl would say something like that.

"O-Obviously not." I stutter to say.

Ugh I have such a weak point for women..

"I'm just messing with ya. I didn't mind but." Riyori replies but then stops.

I didn't push it any further for the time being and we continued onwards towards Mistel. I have some pretty high hopes for this place so hopefully it doesn't let me downdown.

I'm also definitely going to look into getting us horses or maybe just one horse. That would definitely play in my favor if I did that so maybe that's the best play.

The time continued to go by as we traveled for Mistel and all I could think about was what happened with my dad. He just disappeared without any sort of way to find him but maybe one day I'll see him again.

My thoughts are full of confusing things and I haven't figured out how to deal with it all just yet but in time I'm sure I will.

"Kenji you okay?" Riyori asks as we walk.

"Yeah I'm alright." I respond while glancing ahead.

I also should've brought Izza with me since it was going to be a little while before we went back to the manor. I think she'll be okay until then but I'll make sure to stop back soon.

I'd rather not be away for longer than needed, especially since I do care about Izza and all of the other maids in the household.

"So why did you want to be my friend?" I ask with curiosity in my voice.

"You seemed like an interesting person." Riyori answers while walking next to me.

Everything felt different with Riyori around and I'm not quite sure why yet but I'll find out sooner or later. All these girls are bound to make a good harem for me but I'll have to do a bit of work on the romance side of things.

Sigh. I never liked romance itself but I know not all girls are won by acts of bravery or luck.

"How so?" I question.

"You just caught my attention okay." Riyori replies with a flustered tone.

Guess I caught her off guard with that but it's okay.

There's a lot I want to figure out on this trip but one of these things is the discovery of the man who killed my mother. They will pay for what they did no matter how long it takes to find them.

I also need to figure out how to use this power I was gifted with or at least supposedly gifted with. That power will be the way I conquer everything and I'm sure that no one will stand in my path.

My magic is powerful but I don't think that's got anything to do with my power since I've learned they are completely different from one another. They can be used in unison but are completely different.

Maybe dragon magic is powerful but yet I know nothing about it so that is definitely something I need to ask Lilly about. She probably has more knowledge about it then the books in the library there.

"Mistel is only a day away Kenji." Riyori says as she points at a sign.

Huh I didn't think we'd been traveling that long but apparently time does fly. I know we stopped to rest occasionally but it should've taken a lot longer since we walked the whole way.

Never again will I walk all the way to some random town, city, or even a kingdom.

"Good, we'll finally be able to take a good break." I reply while wiping away sweat.

This has been an exhausting time to get to this place and it's been hot as all hell the whole damn time. I swear the heat is the worst part of it all or maybe it's because we've not had many hot days in a long time.

"Yeah they have plenty of places to enjoy a good break at. I like this one restaurant which has foods from all over the continent!" Riyori says while getting excited.

Good to know we'll have some pretty amazing selections at this place but I'm not sure what else to expect just yet. I'm definitely going to figure out where to get horses which shouldn't be hard to figure out.

Also wouldn't be too bad to see what girls are around, the more the merrier. Ah I'll never get sick of thinking like this or maybe when I have all the girls I need I will.

There's a lot at play with this but for now I need to focus on Mistel. This place is close and we're definitely going to need quite a few things.

Maybe I'll head back with Riyori after this since I feel bad about leaving Izza. Shit that's random but it came to my mind out of nowhere.

I'll definitely consider it since Izza wanted to travel like this so day. She also could come in handy with her cooking, her fighting skills, and even some persuasive skills.

She actually trained with me a lot when it came to fighting and she was always good at persuading people in the past. At least that's what I heard.
