Leaving the Tomb

I woke up to the sight of the girl above me looking down at me, it felt like I was laying on something soft.

"Sorry, I thought it would be better than laying on the ground." Miza Says while looking at me.

I was laying on her lap and didn't even realize it since I was focused on the events from earlier. That battle was a lot more intense than I had expected it to be.

"Thank you. I never told you who I was. My name's Kenji." I reply while looking up at her.

"No, thank you for protecting me." Miza Says while stroking my hair.

After a few moments of laying there it was time to get up and get the hell out of here. I took one last glance around the room and realized that the door I came through was open again.

"I can't force you, but would you like to join me?" I ask politely while looking back at her.

She really was a beauty, her appearance was magnificent. The clothes of a mage, an elf, and long blonde hair.

"I feel safe with you right now so I'll be happy to join you." She responds while following behind me.

With that it was time to make out way out of this place since there was no point in waiting around here any longer than we needed to. So I began to lead her back the way I came from till I reached the last wall I had gone through.

This was the place that I got cut off from the others so this has to be the way out right?

Befor I could speak, the wall began to disappear and the others were sitting around a homemade campfire waiting.

"Kenji you're alive!" They all shout while running towards me.

After getting the hugs in, it was time for me to introduce them to Miza.

"Everyone, this is Miza. An elf I found in the Depths of the cave." I say while moving to let her move forward.

"Nice to meet you all." She says while giving a slight bow.

I waited for a little bit while they all got to know her a bit. This way it wouldn't be an issue trying to travel with everyone or any sort of trust issues. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with me lately since I've been having these issues here and there.

It's like my chest is being torn apart but I'm not sure what that thing is just yet. It wasn't as intense as it was back at the manor but I think it was definitely the same kind of power.

I'll figure out what it is that resides in me no matter what happens. If it's some secret power, I'll unleash it with the path I'm on.

"We're ready to go Kenji." Kisaki says while standing with the others.

"Great! Let's continue on." I say with an enthusiastic tone.

I didn't want them to think something was wrong so I'd go back to being my normal self until it was the right time to say something. I'm okay for now anyway.

My group has gotten bigger and I can only wonder who else will join us on the journey. I don't think it's a bad thing to have this many companions, especially if it's all beautiful girls by my side!

I'll take that any day.

So we made our way out of the cave and continued back through the forest like we were before. It was going to be a long journey before we reached the first place I wanted to go.

There is a kingdom in the east that I want to head for before doing anything else right now. It'll provide useful information for what I need to start building up our own kingdom again.

I will rebuild my family's legacy. The power Lilly told me about is the way I'm going to do it but I don't get one thing about it.

She stopped me from using it back at the manor, or was that something else entirely?

"I think we're getting closer to the kingdom of Istadon." Riyori says while looking ahead.

She was right, I could see the walls in the distance which meant we were finally reaching the first place that I needed to go. I've been to Istadon a few times in the past when I was little but I'm not sure if it's the same as it use to be.

"Perfect." I reply to Riyori as I continue to walk.

I know of a guild here so that will help us find some people willing to help out. Builders, fighters, mages, etc.

Unless it's not the same as when I was a kid, but we'll find out once we're inside the kingdom.

As we got closer it appeared as if the kingdom was on edge for some reason, the guards were stacked up more than usual at the gates. Maybe a war is going on that I'm not aware of.

"Hold it right there." The Guard says when he sees us approaching.

"Whats going on?" I question while keeping a calm tone.

"We've been dealing with a lot of attacks from this group outside our walls. I'm going to need to see your forms of identification if you're going to enter." The Guard responds.

That's when Riyori walked in front of us and pulled out her papers, I forgot that she's quite well known so maybe this will help in our favor.

"I apologize, I didn't realize you were with them Miss Riyori." The Guard says while signaling to open the gates.

"It's okay, you're just doing your job." Riyori replies with kindness in her voice.

Looks like we're good to head inside of the kingdom now. I'm curious if the guild is still around since they'll be our best bet, though I am also curious about the group that the guards had mentioned.

"Where to first?" Riyori asks while standing in front of me.
