Goblins?

Branches broke in the distance as I looked past Izza, It seems something is out here with us. I kept calm and just began to ponder the thought of what it could be since there's lots of different creatures in the world.

One, Two, Three.

Everything came to me again and I was wielding magic within my hands once more. Fire in one while ice formed in the other, this was my way of fighting against enemies.

I wasn't going to risk my friend's lives for anything so I'll make sure to keep them all safe.

More branches continued to break around us as these things began to get closer and closer, that's when I could see their green complexion. Goblins.

Goblins are seen as weak to most travelers if they are use to combat, but for people on their own it's a completely different story. They really are ruthless creatures if they know the prey they're after.

"Really, Goblins of all things." Riyori says with an annoyed tone in her voice.

"Luckily I know how to fight." Izza says while drawing a sword.

"Me too." Kisaki chimes in as she makes a spectral sword appear.

Everyone was ready to fight against the goblins, it really gave me hope for what this adventure will lead to.

That's when they all came charging at us from behind the trees, each one charging with different weapons. Not all of them were entirely stupid, but this fight wasn't one that they could win.

I took a step back to begin throwing balls of fire and ice at them while avoiding my friends. The goblins were quickly dealt with as we all worked together as a team but I didn't expect to be where I am today.

Out here with all these people by my side, it'll be a nice change of pace.

"Good job guys." I say while looking at them.

They were all standing together with goblin blood on their weapons and some on their clothes.

Riyori was the only one who didn't fight but I'm not upset about that at the moment. Shes a bit different so I won't ask much of her right now.

"We worked well as a team." Kisaki says with a smile on her face.

"I agree." Izza responds with a positive tone.

Riyori was quiet but I knew why, she wasn't able to help much during this time. It's not a big deal so I'll just keep everyone focused.

"Guess that's our que to head out." I speak up while wiping my hands off on my coat.

"Let's go then." Kisaki says while beginning to walk.

Our Travels began once more, but I couldn't help but think about what happened back at my home. That pain was there once again, I didn't even know what to do.

Yet everything felt so similar. I've not had a lot of experience with that feeling but I'm sure it will happen again, especially if it's because of magic.

"As scary as these woods can be, they are quite beautiful." Izza says while admiring the trees.

She was right, the scenery here was truly beautiful. The different colors amongst the trees, the grass we walked on, everything was beautiful. It didn't feel out of place or bad in any way.

Some places do possess such beauty while others scare off the simplest of travelers.

"It is beautiful out here." I reply while taking a few glances across the path.

I've not been out through the woods in a long time, not like this at least. It's a nice change of pace, that's for sure. My dad liked to take me and mom out for walks like this but I guess it's not the same feeling anymore.

"Do you guys see that in the distance?" Riyori asks while trying to make out what she saw.

"What does it look like?" Izza questions with a bit of confusion.

I took a moment to focus on what she was talking about and it appeared to be a cave of sorts in the distance. It wouldn't be terrible to check it out since they could hold some crazy secrets.

"Appears to be a cave." I answer while walking past them.

"Are we really about to go to it?" Riyori asks with a bit of concern in her voice.

"Of course." I respond.

I wasn't against entering caves since it could contain some amazing loot for us to use on our travels later on.

Though it doesn't resemble any caves that I would know of since I did read a lot of books back home. Most told about these caves around the world, but this one doesn't resemble any of them so far.

"I'm interested in checking it out." Kisaki says with an excited tone in her voice.

"That's more like it." I reply while continuing ahead.

It didn't take very long for us to reach the entrance of the cave but it was definitely odd. I could make out several different languages written all over the walls at the entrance of the cave.

Seems they weren't entirely keen on people finding this cave in the first place but I'm definitely interested in exploring it. It doesn't say anything bad, but there must be a reason they don't want people seeing it.

"Guess I don't have much of a choice." Riyori says while standing behind me.

"If it sketches you out, just stay right behind me." I reply.

I'll keep them all safe, it's my job to do it after all.

"The Cave of Istel." Izza reads out loud.

Istel, what an interesting name for this cave. Time to head inside, all the secrets lie within the cave.

So I began to lead the way as the others followed behind me since I was the one who wanted to check it out the most. Though, Kisaki was interested.

Flicker.

I light up a torch with my fire so that we could see where we are going.

"Is that a door?" Izza asks.
