Cave of Istel

The door before us seemed to be the only way that we could go within this opening. Without wasting any time I began to open up the door, a bright light was shining on the other side.

That's totally normal to see on the other side of a random door in a cave.

"Are we really going to follow this light?" Riyori questions with a bit of concern in her voice.

"Of course." I say while heading through.

As I went through the door I could see the environment shifting all around as things began to form before us with each passing second. It was definitely smart to go through the door but what is this place?

Markings began to form all around the walls like arrows pointing us in the right direction.

"It seems the way is over here." I say while following the markings.

Everything here was strange to see but maybe it'll do some good for us if we continue to follow it. Istel could have some crazy meaning behind it but I'm not entirely sure just yet.

I'll figure this out one way or another.

"Don't get too far Kenji, I have a weird feeling about this place." Izza speaks up while following behind me.

I can understand why she'd feel that way since I'm sensing it quite a bit myself. Something about this place is strange but I'm not sure if it's bad or not.

"Keep going." A Voice echoed.

Safe. Totally safe.

Regardless we kept following the markings for a good while until reaching a strange open area with large pillars all around. Each one had a carving etched into it but none of them had any writing that we could understand.

I decided to walk up to the carving with a hooded figure carved into it, something had brought me over to it though. It was just a weird feeling like I had to come over this way.

"Everything okay Kenji?" Kisaki asks with a worried tone in her voice.

"Yeah, just checking this carving out." I respond while placing my hand onto it.

As I placed my hand on the carving it was like a flurry of visions passing through my head.

"Can we really trust these people?" A Man asks while staring ahead.

"We have to. They are the only hope we have right now." A Woman responds while looking ahead.

A man with a hood covering his face walked beside a woman with blonde hair that kept hair face concealed. They seemed to be following behind this group of what appeared to be knights but they didn't bear any sort of insignia on their armor.

What is the point of this vision?

"This is the barrier we mentioned before." The Knight ahead says.

"Will she be safe here?" The hooded man asks as he stares at the barrier.

"Of course. This cave has lots of magical properties that can be used to place the proper protection if the barrier doesn't seem like enough to you." The Knight answers as the other knights move out of the way.

I didn't notice at first but a child was with them as well, she was only a baby. It seems they were looking to hide her from someone or something, but why would they need to do that?

They began to make their way towards a little pedestal that took the shape of a tomb. It looks like they'll be leaving the child here, what the hell is going on here?

"We love you a lot Miza, We'll come back when the time is right." The Hooded man says while placing the child down.

Everything disappeared and I could see the carving before me again, the vision must've ended. So there is something special about this cave but I'm not sure how far we have to go to see this tomb.

"We got to keep going, something is here." I say to the others while looking around.

A door was ahead but it had a bunch of different symbols that looked nothing like the ones outside of here. I'd assume that this is one of the first doors that we have to go through.

"How do you know that Kenji?" Kisaki asks while the others stand next to her confused.

"I saw something after touching that carving." I respond while looking at the door.

"Okay.." Kisaki says with a bit of concern.

I don't blame her for thinking it's strange or for worrying but I'm curious on what was so special about this damn kid. She was brought here for a reason so I want to see what lies beyond this door.

We looked around the area for a good while before stumbling upon a strange lever in the back of one of the other pillars.

As I pulled the lever the door could be heard opening in the distance, this was definitely the right lever. I didn't know of any other levers but I'm positive this is the one we needed to pull.

"That door opened up Kenji." Izza says while staring at the open door.

"Let's go. I don't see any other way to go anyway." I reply while running towards the open door.

Passikg through the door it closed behind me immediately before the others could come with me.

Slam!!!!

"Kenji!!" Riyori and the others began to shout as they pounded on the door.

"I'm okay! Just wait for me!" I shout back while looking around the walls.

More drawings were on the walls around me so this was definitely the right way to go. I feel bad that the others couldn't come through with me but I need to see what lies here.

Hopefully they'll be okay without me for a little while since I'm not sure how far this place goes.

The air felt thick the further down I got in this corridor but there was no other way for me to go.

"You're getting closer." A voice echoed.
