The land of opportunities

I dreamt of having my own life. As a woman, my goal was to have a decent job, earn enough money, have a car, not to worry much, and of course travel every now and then.

Prove my brothers I could accomplish as much as them.

Growing up in a Chinese traditional family, women were not looked at very productive. Being the youngest one, (I was number 4), mom used to tell me I was the last Hope.

I still remember when she told me how I came to this world.

Funny though, mom thought she had a bad case of food poisoning. At the doctor, mom was told she was pregnant. I was her last Hope tho have a baby girl.

That wish was granted.

That wish came true on May morning after a long labour and painful delivery.
