CHAPTER 6

*Sky Forest Leywin's POV*

All of us looked at the kid weirdly. Shaine just brought the kid from the storage room here in

our hideout, the room at the second floor nearest to the fire exit.

His name is Arthur Miller, he's

an orphan and lagi siyang kumukuha ng foods sa storage room kaya nandun siya. And oddly

the moment we saw him hinila siya ni Shaine sa isang corner at kinausap ito.

What's more ay

sa kaniya lang ito nakikinig and pag i try na kausapin siya he'll appear very scary, to the point

na parang kaya niya talaga akong patayin.

And even though I know that I'm stronger than him

nakakatakot pa rin yung threat niya sa buhay ko. I looked at Shaine, she's really unpredictable

and unreadable to the point na the more you know her the more you don't understand her.

*Ulysses Shaine Verrere POV*

I looked at Arthur, Art for short, he was smart and wise. Already understanding his

sircumstances at the age of 9 and mas pinili niya ring sumama sa amin imbes na mag stay

dun sa storage room, not because he's scared but because he knows na hindi niya kayang

protektahan ang sarili niya.

But that's not the only reason why I brought him in our group, he's at

the same age as my little brother, he's 10 now, a year older than Art and I really, really miss him

and others as well, but I'm a hundred miles away from them, and I also have the responsibility

to keep my friends alive.

Pinaliguan ko muna si Art before putting him to bed and going back

to the living room to discuss things with others. I smiled when I saw them.

"Let's start the

meeting" i said then sat at the one person sofa, lahat naman sila sumunod at umupo rin sa iba

pang bakante. Nag handa rin si Kate ng pen and notebook dahil siya ang acting secretary sa

meeting namin. Nag umpisa sina Aireen at Suichie

"We didn't find the storage or the parking lot

but we did find seven survivors". Tumango kami

"it's okay, we already found the storage room

and there's also a way to go there unfound" I paused then looked at them again,

"what are the

situations of those survivors?". "There are four girls, all adults, one pregnant, all middle-aged,

three guys, one senior and two 30's. Mukhang malapit ng manganak yung babae." Dagdag niya.

It's risky moving with a pregnant woman, but I think we'll be fine, I looked at my teammates with

a smile then nodded.

Sumunod sila Grace at Blaine "we found the parking lot which was near

the back entrance and three survivors, all kids, a seven year old, a five year old and a year old. We

gave them foods before going back. Although we wanted to bring them with us but I figured it

will be too risky so we left them at a room."

We all looked perplexed, tatlong bata, "They're the

first priority. After this meeting we'll go in and rescue them." I said with overwhelming authority

that made my team flinch. When I realized it I tried suppressing my emotions para matapos

namin tong meeting agad.

Mukhang napansin ni Kate yon dahil tumango siya while writing

at nag umpisa ng mag salita. "We found the floor plan and many survivors", she intentionally

emphasized many to capture our attention.

"How many are there?" Tanong ni Aireen. This time

si Xavier naman ang nagsalita na kasama ni Kate.

"20 and hindi lang yon! Lahat sila korean

stars! Nasa conference room sila waiting for a script reading when the fog came!" Excited na

sabi ni Xavier na nagpaliwanag sa mga mata namin. How can I forget that!

The main reason

why we came in this particular hotel was not only the view, but also because of the taping na

mangyayari dito! It's one of the most awaited series dahil sa maraming korean actors and

actresses na sikat. Pati nga ang BTOB kasama!

That news put a smile on our faces. They really

are a happy pill, they can even make us smile at a time like this. Humugot ako ng malalim na

hininga, here goes the real agenda. The decision of this meeting will change our route for the

future.

"Okay" I clapped my hands para matahimik sila and looked at them one by one.

"Let's

decide." I paused "will we accept this survivors as teammates or we'll just escort them out of

this hotel then we'll say goodbye to them, like we didn't see them and move only with our team.

Of course there are pros and cons on this two" they nodded. I figured na kailangan na naming

pag usapan toh because we'll have confusion in the future and pwedeng magkahiwa hiwalay

kami when that happens.

"Pros ng pagtayo lang we won't have internal conflicts dahil mas kilala natin ang isa't-isa and we can compromise" Kate pointed out na nagpatango sa iba.

"They'll die

without us dahil wala silang combat experience, can your conscience accept that?" Tanong ni

Sky kaya napa yuko ang mga kasama ko. He's right.

"Pero mauubos naman ang pagkain natin

earlier than we needed and if that happens kakailanganin nating lumabas para lang maghanap

ulit ng pagkain" argued Blaine.

"We can manage since marami naman tayo we can train them

on how to fight and we'll still have food" sagot ni Aiza na pinakamagaling sa arguments since

mag lalawyer siya.

"Then why not turuan nalang natin silang makipaglaban while we're together

para magka self defence sila?" Tanong ni Xavier na nagpatahimik sa mga gustong isama sila

at sumang ayon naman yung mga gustong kami kami lang.

"Kaya niyo ba talaga silang iwan?"

Tanong ko. "Especially the kids" dagdag ko at parang natuptop sila. Nagpakawala ako ng isang

marahas na hininga. Mukhang hindi pa kami matatapos.

"Let's vote kung sino ang mas mataas

ang vote we'll go with that, no questions asked, okay?" Tanong ko at sumang ayon naman sila.

And the result of voting? Tie.

And that was when the meeting became a debate that lasted

an hour. Napapakamot nalang ako ng ulo ng kwelyuhan ni Sky si Xavier dahil sa sobrang inis

and masyado ng heated ang debate nila konti nalang talaga magkakasakitan na sila.

I stayed

quiet habang pinapakinggan ang mga argument nila. All of them have a point and although sa

pagsama ng mga survivors ay sila Sky, Aireen and Grace lang malakas pa rin ang arguments nila

kasi inaatake nila ang conscience nila Kate, Xavier, Blaine at Suichie.

I was thinking of doing a

compromise since malapit na silang mag away pero I hesitated since this will be a turning point

in our lives and mahihirapan na ulit kaming pag usapan to without fighting.

Napa sabunot ako sa

buhok ko while weighing our options nung may nag kalabit sa akin kaya napa angat ang tingin ko

and I saw little Arthur. Nagliwanag ang mga mata ko when I saw him. Mukhang naalimpungatan

siya dahil sa ingay sa namin.

"Ano pong nangyayari ate Shaine?" He asked with his cute voice

kaya napangiti ako.

"Ikaw Arthur, kung papapiliin ka ililigtas ba natin yung mga nasa baba or

iiwan natin sila dito" i improvised. Napatingin yung mga kaibigan ko sa amin but I didn't mind

them.Technically that's the point kaya walang naka angal. The room went silent while waiting for

the kid who would choose the path of our group.

"Syempre ililigtas ko sila." He said confidently.

"Pero opinion ko lang po yun" sabi niya sounding shy. I smiled then looked at my friends,

mukhang may decision na.

"Okay let's do the next agenda." And like that natapos nain yung

meeting after making a plan to rescue the remaining survivors. First we'll close the front door,

which is the hardest since one wrong move and pwede kaming mapalibutan ng zombies but also

very important since we won't have to worry being attacked behid our backs.

Then we'll clean

the floor while moving with them. After that we figured na mag stay nalang dun sa conference

room sice may daan dun papunta sa labas na malapit lang sa parking lot and the other entrance

was near the kitchen, a very convenient place.

"Okay let's stop for today, tomorrow let's revise

some parts then we'll make a few rules para mas mapadali sa future." I said at nag umpisa ng

mag lakad papasok sa bathroom, I really want to bath then matutulog na. Pero pinigilan ako ng

boses ni Sky

"Are you really going just like this?" I froze not because of what he said but because

of the anger in his voice, kahit kanina sa may debate he wasn't angry, just irritated but not angry.

Naguguluhan kaming tumingin sa kanya.

"Are you really planning to expand this team without a

leader?" Bigla akong kinabahan sa sinabi niya. I have a bad feeling about this. Mukha namang

naliwanagan ang mga kasama ko and they nodded.

"Let's vote kung sino magiging leader natin"

sabi naman ni Aireen with a professional stance, sinamaan ko lang sila ng tingin. I really have a

bad feeling about this.
