Chapter 4

I help tita Felsie revamping the table and Jadster just keeps jesting at me. He is wearing a black polo shirt and white shorts. But honestly, it fits him really.

"Lana." Tita called me and I awaken.

I put the food on the table. It's been months since we both not seeing each other. He is good but however, I cheat him. I tried my best to apologize to him but he hears me not.

"Lana." Tita called me again.

"Are you okay?" She asks and I nod.

I took a deep breath and sat down on the chair. Jadster glared at me and walks toward us then sits next to me. Before tita Felsie's sat down on the chair, Jadster filled his plate already.

He is so mingy.

"Jadster..." Tita rebuked but he just grins and puts back the serving spoon on the plate.

I giggle and he rolls his eyes. When we started eating tita Felsie asked tons of questions. Like how's my life on my mother's account and so. But since when I answered all of her questions. She shut up.

"Lana, I'm planning to go to the lake. Would you come with me?" He asks and I raised an eyebrow.

"Look, there weren't alligators in there. I mean... it's just a lake." He adds and I sigh.

"Fine, but can you promise me that there aren't snakes there. If I find out that you were just lying. I'll never go with you anymore." I warn him with a death glare.

"Promise, I swear." He assures.

I nod. "Good."

After I help tita Felsie washing dishes, I walk onto him. He's lounging at the couch, busy typing on his phone. I don't know who is he texting, but I guess he invites some company? Whatever.

"Lana, you are so fuck... I mean good in your dress." He corrects himself.

I smile. "Thank you."

"Nah, it's not a compliment. You need to treat me to wherever I want to." He says and I roll my eyes.

"Where?"

"In Cansy's."

I wince. "Fine."

After we talk he go back on texting on his phone. He is so busy like he didn't even notice my boredom here. You need to train yourself, Lana, because you'll live here for months. My subconscious reminded me.

"Yup, we're coming." I heard him from a distance.

My brow creased in turmoil. Who the hell is he talking? And he mentions 'she', and I know it is supposed to be me. Why is it that big of a deal, Lana? My subconscious invades my thoughts.

It took a minute before he hangs up the phone. He puts it in his pocket and smirks at the wall. What the hell is going on with this man?

I lick my lower lip. "Who is it?"

He turned to me and shakes his head. "Nothing, a friend."

A friend? Perhaps.

An hour later Jadster and I pull outside the house. I don't even know where is that exactly located.

"Why are we here?" I ask.

"Waiting for a cab. Why?" He answers and I shook my head.

"Nothing, I'm just confused." I tell him and he abruptly held my hand when we saw a cab pulling toward us.

When it stops we both jump in. I did ask him earlier where we were going. But what I get from him was just a wink. He knows when should use to annoy me really.

I almost buried my fingers through my hair in ennui. Because the motion is so really annoying. Why he can't adjust it for a little quicker. My goodness.
