Above the fortress wall, Clawrend gazed out into the distance, towards the forest teeming with monsters, "All the monsters that have been attacking this town are endless and they've also begun to synchronize like us. It's as if they're gaining more intelligence as a monster."
He turned to look at his friend, "This fight is going to be a long one, Rander."
"It'll all be fine," Rander said, while eating some bread to refill his energy. "Like I said, we still have the strength elixir from that peasant human. Beside if the situation becomes too dangerous, we can use it and make our way out of this town."
Rander stood up, raising his spear and pointing it towards the forest where the monsters resided to recuperate, "No matter how smart they have become, all those monsters will keep being stupid monsters."
As the two continued to talk to each other, another army arrived, "Clawrend, Rander, it's time for a shift change, now it's your turn to take watch."
