Little Heist

The air was tense as Vincent and his group prepared for the robbery. They had been watching the transport truck's movements for days, studying every detail: the routes, the schedules, and the guards.

They knew this was their chance, and they were ready to act. The night was dark, and the city lights flickered in the distance, a reminder of the life they were leaving behind.

With one last glance at each other, Vincent adjusted his cap and signaled the start.

"Let's go," he murmured, and they sprang into action.

As they rushed toward the parked truck, adrenaline surged through their veins. The truck's lights were on, illuminating the area and revealing two guards who were overseeing the cargo. Vincent had planned everything meticulously and knew they couldn't afford to make mistakes.

"Remember, quick and quiet," Vincent said, his voice barely a whisper. The tension in the air was palpable as they approached the vehicle.

Vincent signaled to Liam and Maya, who positioned themselves on either side of the truck. With swift, coordinated movements, they pounced on the guards. Liam, using his strength, took down the first guard with a solid blow, while Maya, with her agility, immobilized the second in a quick lock. The guards had no time to alert anyone.

"Come on, we need to move!" Vincent shouted as they opened the back door of the truck. The interior of the vehicle was dark, but as they peered inside, their eyes lit up with surprise: boxes filled with various types of pistols were stacked in the back.

"This is better than I expected," Vincent murmured, feeling exhilarated. "Help me get these boxes out."

As the group quickly worked to load the boxes into their vehicle, adrenaline continued to flow. Each box was heavy and contained weapons that could be worth thousands on the black market. They felt this was a unique opportunity, but there was also an implicit risk. Time was not on their side.

"Faster!" Maya said, glancing nervously around. "I don't want to be here any longer than necessary."

"Calm down, we're almost done," Liam replied in his typical calm tone. But Vincent could see the concern in his eyes. He knew every second counted.

As they lifted the last box, Vincent's phone buzzed in his pocket. It was Amanda. His heart skipped a beat, and worry washed over him.

"What do I do?" he muttered to himself, but he had already answered.

"Hi, Mom!" Vincent replied, trying to sound casual.

"Vincent, sweetheart, where are you?" Amanda asked, her voice laced with concern. "You're not home. Michael and I are getting worried."

Vincent took a deep breath, trying to mask his nervousness. "Oh, I'm just out with some friends, hanging out. I promise I'll be home soon."

"With friends? At this hour?" Amanda sounded skeptical. "Are you sure you're okay? I don't like the idea of you being out this late."

"Yeah, all good," he replied, glancing at his group, who were watching him anxiously. "We're just chatting and enjoying ourselves. It's a calm night."

"Calm, huh?" Amanda chuckled, but the seriousness of her tone remained. "Just remember, i don't want you getting into trouble."

Vincent felt a chill run down his spine. "No, Mom, nothing like that. Just having fun. I promise I'll be home soon, okay?"

"Alright, but I'd like to know more about your friends. I want to meet the people you're hanging out with," she said, easing some of the tension.

"Sure, I'll introduce them next time we come home," Vincent replied, forcing a smile that no one could see.

"I'm glad to hear that. Take care and come back soon, please. I love you," Amanda said, her voice softening.

"I love you too, Mom," Vincent responded before hanging up. He felt a twinge of guilt for the lie, but he knew he couldn't let his family interfere with his plans.

Returning to the reality of the heist, he said, "Guys, we need to hurry."

"What do we do now?" Maya asked, eyeing the boxes full of weapons.

"We need a buyer. This could be a big score for us," Vincent replied, his mind racing.

As they quickly moved away from the scene, Vincent couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. They had made a significant advance, but they also knew that the road to the top of the criminal world was fraught with dangers and tough decisions.
