Well into the night, from the corner of her eyes, she saw Thorn chunking down liquor as if he were drinking water.

'Did she push him too hard?' Elora wondered. Seeing him fill his cup again, she cleared her throat sharply, signalling him to stop.

But he ignored her and finished the cups content in one full gulp.

Seeing him pour another cup, she got up without saying anything. Her actions caused the women to focus on her.

''I'm retiring for the night. Go on with your dining.'' Elora left these words and dragged Thorn from his seat, almost carrying him out of the room.

''Good night your Majesty!'' They all called after her; some held suggestive gazes at the beautiful Fae in her embrace.

Unaware of their thoughts, she focused on steadying the squirming Thorn.

His face was flushed red, with his eyes moist. ''hek…your…majesty. I want…hek..drink.'' he slurred over his words, his hands wrapped around her neck.
