11 – Crimson Armor

Lance crouched behind Trish.

"W-what are you doing?" This made the female warrior flinch in confusion.

"I will make the legs of this armor lighter." Lance removed the back of the armor's leg section. "But I'll leave the front part out to still give you some of the protection. You will face them from the front."

"That's…." Trish was speechless.

Cecil and Eve helped Lance after hearing that explanation. The maid begged Eve to come with her, but the witch said. "I'm not just going to leave. I can do something."

"At least my butt is free." Trish sighed. "Only that part is too tight, but I don't want to mention it. You guys have taken the trouble to put this armor on me."

"What are you going to do, Lance?" Cecil asked.

The young man takes off his gloves. "You and Eve run away with the villagers. I will help Trish hold off the goblins."

"I can fight too." Eve protested. "Let me come with you."

"You and Cecil's job is to look after the villagers." Lance glanced at his childhood friend. "Cecil can also fight with a hammer."

Cecil gulped at Lance's sharp gaze. That was the look Lance showed when protecting her, whether from scary creatures or bullies.

Because Lance always protects her, Cecil trains to fight. It's not that she doesn't want to be protected by Lance anymore, but she also aspires to protect people, just like him.

"Come on." Cecil held the witch's hand. "The villagers need us."

Without asking for approval, Cecil ran while pulling Eve. The maid followed the two girls.

"Acting cool in front of girls, huh?" A man with dark blue hair approached Lance. He came in with a bald-headed guy. "I don't know why that irritated me."

"What about my mom, Uncle Felix?" Lance asked.

"I forced her to run away, and I said that I would save you." Felix chuckled. "But I have known you since childhood. You wouldn't do that, would you?"

Lance clenched his fists. This village had healed his tired heart. He didn't want to lose it. "Yes, I've got to do something."

Behind Felix, Roger Fairchild laughed. Then he raised his sledgehammer. "Let's destroy those monsters!!!"

"Errr…. Looks like I'll be joining too." Trish raised one hand.

Roger frowned. "What's with this armor? Initially, I noticed nothing except its large size. But when it moved, I felt something was different. I've never heard this sound before from armor joints."

"You'll see." A wide smile graced Lance's face.

"Is she okay?" Felix asked while glanced at Trish. The female warrior was running with the others.

"I'm totally fine!" Trish gave a thumbs up, but her run was unsteady. Many times, she almost fell.

She became the center of attention of some of Eve's guards, several villagers who wanted to fight, and volunteer adventurers who happened to be in the village.

"Yeah, everything will be fine." Lance said. "I'm sure you can tame that armor, Trish."

"I hope so." The female warrior sighed again.

Lance means it. Maybe other people didn't realize it, but he noticed Trish was starting to move well, little by little.

"Get ready, Lance." Felix hissed. "We're close."

High smoke could be seen from a distance, accompanied by the shrill screams of the goblins. Not long after, those creatures ran through the streets towards the humans.

"You focus on the big one, Trish!" Lance stopped and shot a fireball from his hand.

"I like the big ones! I mean big portions of food! But for goblins, I don't like the big ones!" Trish continued to run with the melee fighters. "Their d*cks are small!!! Not that I've ever done that with goblins or wanted to!!! Just forget what I said!!!"

"The way she talks is very similar to your mom, Lance." Felix muttered while also shooting fireballs.

Lance turned his head to his uncle. "Huh?"

Fierce battle begins. The melee fighters exterminated the small goblins. Meanwhile, Trish kept running forward, crashing into those creatures, sending them flying. Arrows also hit her, but it didn't matter. That armor protected her well.

Trish's running has become more stable. Her target was a three-meter-tall goblin. That monster also ran at Trish while raising its mace and screaming.

When they were so close, Trish tripped over her own feet and collided with her opponent. They fell with a loud thud.

"I'm so sorry!" Trish lifted her body from the giant goblin. "Why am I apologizing to you!?"

The female warrior punched her opponent in the face. The monster became unconscious in an instant.

Trish inspected that monster to be sure. Then, she hit its face again. This time it made a terrible cracking sound, followed by blood splattering from the goblin's head.

"Holy sh*t, he died!" Trish looked at her bloodied fist. "I defeated the big goblin with two hits!!!"

"Don't let your guard down, Trish!" Lance reminded the female warrior while continuing to shoot fire balls. "Look, their reinforcements are coming!!!" An idea appeared in the young man's head. "Hey, try lifting that giant goblin, then throw it at them!"

"I can do that?" Trish stood up and lifted that monster's body. "Wow, this is easy!"

As per Lance's orders, Trish threw the monster's corpse at the approaching goblins. It caused a thunderous crash when it landed on those little creatures.

"It was incredible!" Trish jumped for joy and because of that, she almost fell again.

Lance warned the female warrior. "Don't let your guard down!"

Other goblins appeared from beside Trish. They took advantage of the hills to ambush. They had surrounded the female warrior in no time.

"Not today, you little ugly wrinkled faces!" Trish repels those creatures with hard kicks. "You guys want my virgin p*ssy!? You'll never get it! My vagina is only for my future husband! Call me traditional! I don't care!"

Several goblins tried to climb Trish's body. But she released them with ease, then slammed or threw them far away. When another giant goblin appeared, Trish could finish that creature off with a kick to its left chest.

"What exactly do you do with your friends?" Felix widened his eyes in amazement.

Trish continues to slaughter those creatures. The crimson color of blood decorated her armor even more.
