Unexpected Meeting.

|In a heavily defended carriage.|

{Skill List.}

Skill Name: Fishing.

Skill Mastery: 0%

Skill Rank: B.

Requirements: Fishing Equipment.

Fishing Skill (Passive): Your chances of catching Uncommon and Rare fish have increased.

Calm Mind of the Fisher (Passive): Your mind becomes calmer the longer you sit still refreshing your mind and increasing your focus.

"This is a nice feeling. I wonder what it would take to reach SSS." I said silently to myself as the carriage moved silently through a forest.

[Your lucky Ulrich had an old straw fishing hat to give you. And do you really think the King is going to go with the whole your Class is a Fisherman?] Rose asked without holding back.

I shook my head slightly as I knew for a fact that the whole story Ulrich came up with at the end of his quick knowledge lesson was never going to fool the King.

And the information he was able to give was plenty.

Since the damn… whoever he really is, he's been around since before the start of the summoning! He's been playing the royal family since the start!

And to make things worse for my situation is that I've been involved with his playing with the royal family all because I'm his inheritor.

But he is truly cursed. Never able to increase his Rank past Human.

Human, Soldier, General, Warlord, King/Queen, Emperor/Empress. Each ranking has five tiers. Then when you reach your Ranks fifth tier you're able to advance to the next. But each increase in Rank comes with a 95% fatality rate unless you have access to Rare, and Super Rare materials.

But only for the first Rank of Human.

[Yeah I figured. You're better off just telling the King your real class. Just make sure you don't tell him it's a ranking since it's the first of its kind.] Rose said in a knowing manner at first. Then she bluntly said something like it was the easiest thing in the world.

'Rose you do realize that the King is what, nuts! But when it comes to anything to Ulrich he becomes obsessed. And because of his obsession he's been able to increase the Kingdom's strength almost to the level of an Empire.' I asked.

[Yes.] Rose answered.

'Good just making sure.' I gave Rose a double thumbs up.

I could only shake my head, but in a way my situation is bad but if I were to make it through what happens next it will make my situation survivable.

The knowledge that Ulrich was able to accumate was insane to the degree of obsession bigger than that of the King. And Ulrich's only reason why is because since he's perfected himself so many times the only thing that could fulfill him, was knowledge.

'At least the reward from my most recent quest has gone away. But still I guess my Dexterity explains why I fell into so many graves.' I mused to myself.

My Stats were considered slightly above from the mass majority. While it's considered near the bottom of regular Otherworlds. Not the worst, but still not the best.

And truly depending on how I handle the situation next could give me a decent head start if I'm capable.

[You were spot on when you said Ulrich was playing the fool. Just never thought he would play with the Royal family continuously. He must really have some type of deathwish.] Rose spoke up after a few minutes of silence.

'He definitely does. And we've been pulled right into.' I answered as I looked outside of the carriage as we came to a stop.

And I have to say it was a very nice view. We were stopped atop a hill that overlooked the most heavily defended yet most majestic city I've ever… What the heck am I saying of course it is the most majestic.

It's the only one I've ever seen. Still gotta say yeah, Ulrich you really got a death wish.

[Don't ever get caught in this city, Bastion.] Rose spoke up with worry and concern. [This… deathtrap was built by a genius. That or a psychopath.]

'Yeah I can understand your reasoning. And I have a weird feeling that's coming from the city.' I answered as I started to frown.

'I think I can feel the bodies buried by this place Rose.'

Sure I could sense the bodies in Ulrich's Graveyard and I'll tell you it was quite bare even though the land he had was huge. Like the size of a major city! Huge!

And it was pretty bare, maybe less than a hundred.

But this city.

I couldn't seem to find an answer. The number seemed to be more than the largest mass grave from my previous worlds. And worse I felt it was slowly getting bigger.

Worst of all, I felt an insane amount of rage, regret, fear, joy, sadness, insanity, etc. But there were a few collective that topped them even more.

Revenge, murder, and blood.

"Your reaction is not the usual one, one has when laying their eyes for the first time upon the Imperial City of Otihame. The City of Light." A deep voice spoke up from inside of the carriage.

"Why is that?"

I froze for a second as my eyes snapped open as I noticed my head was down and with my fingers inches away from my eyes like I was about to claw them out.

Rose was even screaming and from the look of things she had been doing it for a while.

[Bastion!! Bastion!! What were you thinking! I had been trying to get your attention for ages! Why were you trying to claw your own eyes out, Bastion!?] Rose shouted in my head with rage and concern. [And what were you mumbling earlier I wasn't able to understand what you were saying?]

'I… don't know. All I know is that, I felt-!!!'

Pain!! Intense pain!!!

I grabbed my head as an intense and almost mind piercing pain assaulted me.

I could hardly hear Rose's scream as a deep voice overpowered hers.

"Nor is this current situation. Huh, I thought Ulrich would have thought to teach you about who you're going to be facing. Well, he is getting old now so his mind has started to deteriorate."

The pain was gone as quick as it arrived as I slowly opened my eyes to see a grizzled looking man with deep blue eyes and short white hair.

He was wearing the darkest looking martial robe with a small white engraving of what looked to be the Royal Crest.

"But I guess it's best you learn now so you don't get killed later." The grizzled looking man spoke with slight disdain.

"When Royalty asks you a question you answer. And never talk to your systems assistant in front of Royalty either."

I slowly started to lift myself and when I was able to sit I slumped back due to mental exhaustion.

"Must have slipped, his mind. You know old age and such." I answered with a weak voice. "He did mention enemies often meet though. So who do I have the pleasure of entertaining?"

Before the grizzled looking man spoke, a feeling of bottomlessness filled the carriage for a long second.

Cold, fear, gut wrenching fear was all I felt for that long second before it disappeared followed by a deep voice.

"I am the Crown Prince of The Otihame Kingdom. Siegbald of the Abyss."

Oh just the Crown Prince. Yeah, no big deal. Oh, and he has the moniker of Abyss. Yeah he's definitely terrifyingly strong.

Rose and I Cursed Ulrich to high heaven.

"Well if it isn't your Royal Highness the Crown Prince Siegbald of the Abyss. I apologize for the lack of entertainment. Didn't really have the time to stop since I awoke in a grave." I answered with a weak smile.

"I wonder if Your Royal Highness the Crown Prince Siegbald is willing to have a conversion later for a business transaction?"

Siegbald didn't seem to react to my question until I noticed a small smile form on his face.

"Now, this is a first. Normally people beg for their life or grovel. Very few have the courage or some would call you a fool to what you are currently asking." Siegbald slowly stood to his feet as the door to the carriage opened revealing a small and vicious looking Guard Unit wearing red and gold colored armor.

"But some still call me a fool also. Don't worry you'll live since I said you will. After you meet the King and the other Otherworlders and are dismissed. I'll visit you at Ulrich's Domain."

Seigbald's deep voice entered my head as he got off the carriage and onto a beautiful white looking mount. It looked like a horse but had three very sharp looking horns on its head and a pair of pure white wings.

Siegbald quickly left as the red and gold colored Guards followed right after in complete sync. The soldiers silently waited until the Crown Prince was no longer in sight to close the carriage door and finish their mission.

[Bastion what are you thinking? He almost killed you! Why would you want to work with him!?] Rose asked with confusion and rage.

'There's a saying Rose. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. But I prefer the one of 'if you aint beefing about the money then what's the problem.' I answered with a smile.

'And besides I don't have beef with him Ulrich does. And If I'm going to inherit a possible Divine class job that deals with graves I'm going to need a lot of money.'
