Chapter 71

A golden-haired girl is reading some interesting literary works from the giant library that has a never-ending sea of books

Kusa: Hmm... I see

Kusa closed the books in her hand

Kusa: If I didn't exist in this reality then Gensokyo is chaotic and the plan to make yokai humans coexist is close to none

Kusa: well that's that and this is this, I don't want to dive into something that isn't my problem anyway

The vast library flickers and disappears leaving the room in complete whiteness  and there's a door appears there

Kusa appears in the Dreamworld arriving in front of Doremy and Sagume who is troubled

Kusa: what's wrong?

Doremy: Kusa! it's a bad time to go inside the dream realm

It's a girl that wears a Chinese outfit of a red and yellow tabard with a red sash over a wide-sleeved black dress and a black Phoenix crown. She has long, blonde hair and red eyes. Behind her are seven purple tails of energy.

Junko: well, too bad... you are not the only one that has someone to help

Junko: Now, show yourself Hecatia,  goddess of hell!

Hecatia: Aw, geez. You kept me waiting, now.

It's a girl with red eyes and red hair. She is fairly modern looking, wearing a short, three-colored, plaid skirt, and a black t-shirt with "Welcome ❤ Hell" written on the front, worn off her shoulders. She also wears a collar, with chains attached, each one leading to an orb of the Moon, the Earth, and the Spirit World, the last of which sits in her hat atop her head

Kusa: the goddess of three hells to be precise

Hecatia: is this the interesting person you are talking about Junko?

Junko: no, It's another person

Hecatia: ahh... that's disappointing...

Junko: tell me girl what is your name?

Kusa: it's Kusa

Hecatia: bwahaha! That's an interesting name

Kusa: I have grown attached to it, to be honest, and I can't be bothered to choose another name...

Kusa: should I just go with Taiyo instead?...

Kusa whispers it while giving a thought

Hecatia: hey Junko!, I want to play around with this girl for a little bit

Junko: you are free to do so

Kusa: (if it's only her I could battle but if Junko joins in then I will flee because I will withhold my promise)

Kusa thinks a little more but she immediately deploys a transparent barrier

Blocking the red bullets that assaulted her

Hecatia: Oi! let's Fight!

Kusa: Doremy call Reimu and Marisa if you can

Doremy: yes!

Junko: you are leaving? That's quite rude...

Junko shoots a bullet toward Doremy but Sagume blocks it without saying anything

Junko: my to think the goddess protects her friend yet can't protect her people

Sagume seemed angered by that remark but she can't let it go to her head or else she will lose

Junko: as expected of the silent goddess~

Kusa counters the barrage of red bullets by detonating a blue sun to make an opening and shoots a flaming bullet toward Hecatia

Hecatia dodges it but she realized that she is trapped by barriers

Kusa then makes a barrage of different color suns and lets it enter the barrier causing an explosion

But then a bullet that looks like a moon appears and Kusa dodges it

Hecatia: let's fight some more!!

Hecatia'3s appearance changes into golden hair and golden eyes as she releases more monsters and blue stars toward Kusa's position

Kusa then Summons several plants that shoot green bullets toward Hecatia but most of them got crushed by the moon

Kusa: That's annoying...

Kusa's hands flashed Blue and release a surge of laser that eradicate the moons and stars revealing Hecatia's eyes and Hair turns blue

Kusa: the globe in her head is changed into the earth... does that mean the gloves are connected to her power?

Hecatia release a rain of blue bullets making Kusa made a barrier act as a parasol but the plants all have been eliminated

Kusa's hand lights up in violet and releases a stream of violet fire towards Hecatia disappears and the surrounding have been surrounded by crimson patterns

the surrounding has been filled with red bullets

Kusa raised her hand and a sun of pure black and pure white has emerged she fused it making the surrounding bullets disappear revealing Hecatia

Kusa shoots ten different color lasers towards hecatia making the latter wide-eyed but Junko has appeared protecting Hecatia

Kusa looked toward Sagume that seemed fatigued

Kusa: I'm sorry Reimu it seemed I might break my promise after all

Reimu/Marisa: Kusa!

Reimu is riding with Marisa her flying speed is slower than Marisa

Kusa: Reimu, Marisa good thing you arrived!

Reimu: so it's you again! No wonder the Lunarians still haven't gone back!

Junko: ohh, it seemed the human that  I've mentioned has arrived in Hecatia

Hecatia: so it's them?

Junko: yes~ though the girl named Kusa isn't that bad

Hecatia: yeah! I warmed up quite a bit because of her and I can fight them

Reimu faces them while Marisa looks at Kusa if she is wounded

Kusa: I'm fine Marisa... you should help out Reimu because I'm going to help Sagume from recovering

Marisa: okay... Let me show you how we defeat them!

Kusa: Yes... I know you will

Kusa approaches Sagume and her hands light up in a greenish glow and heal Sagume

Doremy has arrived at a door

Doremy: having a cool down to deploy a door is very irritating

Doremy: Sagume! Are you okay!

Sagume: yes...

Making kusa let out a muffled laugh

Doremy: how about I'll give you a lap pillow?

Sagume seemed surprised and didn't know what to say

Doremy didn't let her answer and give her a lap pillow despite knowing Kusa's abilities

Kusa: done!

Sagume tried to get up but Kusa made her lie down again

Kusa: you need rest too! So don't get up when I say so!

Sagume is speechless but decided to not bother with it and obediently lay down while looking at Doremy

Kusa: now that's finished it seemed they are already finishing too

Reimu restricts the two While Marisa let out her signature move toward them and cause an explosion

Kusa: even I can't defeat Marisa nor Reimu, to be honest... they have grown stronger than ever

Kusa smiles and walks toward the two

Kusa: hmm... I should create something that can make my body stronger so I could pummel Yuuka next time
