40: ride on Elysian Majesty with a new mess in life {part-1}

"Welcome to the Elysian Royal Academy, where only the chosen few, the exceptions of our country, are admitted!" the professor announces. "Before we begin, I would like to call out the names of those who are restricted from taking the test!" The crowd buzzes with excitement, while Void feels uneasy.

"Now he'll call out the cast and all the lead characters of the game, heh…" Void thinks, maintaining a fake smile and clapping.

"First, His Highness Charles Allainette, Samuel Tristella, Leonard Calvados, Shuri Lux, Rubianna Walmsley, Cassey Heart, Christina Phoenix, Aoi Takahashi, Meisheng Shen, Zoe Lunaria, unexpectedly Luna Allainette, Her Highness, Vivienne Middletown, and lastly… Eliza, the commoner who recently made a big fuss!" the professor announces.

As the professor finishes announcing, Void starts to leave, but he's stopped by the professor. "Ah, wait! I apologize, I think I forgot to add one more name. Mr. Void Middletown, you're also refrained from attending the test, as you're already a Master's D-rank Master swordsman. We can't let you take the test; it would be disrespectful to you! I apologize for the mistake!" The professor says, bowing deeply.

"So, you're all restricted for the same reason: you've already been considered assets to the kingdom. You may board the ride now. These are your tickets!" The professor hands them tickets as the hall begins to clear.

"Your Highness, why don't we roam around the academy for a while?" Shuri suggests, but Rubianna stops her by grabbing Charles's hand.

"I'm sorry, but His Highness needs to prepare for the ride and has some things to do," Rubianna says, her tone arrogant but masked by her smile.

"Oh! Yeah, I forgot that the heroine roams around the academy, but Rubianna stops them, as this is the first appearance of both characters," Void thinks, lost in thought. He snaps out of it when Vivienne pinches his cheek.

"What are you crushing on her for again, huh?" Vivienne asks. As she speaks, all of Void's six fiancées move closer to him, their eyes radiating murderous intent.

"Is this true, Void dear, cupcake? Are you crushing on her?" they ask in chorus.

"No… of course not. I already have you guys. Why would I?" Void says, sweating profusely, thinking, "No way in hell! This is bad; they're already acting like my wives!" At Void's declaration, all of them give him a gentle kiss, leaving marks of their lipstick before turning away.

"That's good to hear!" Zoe says.

"You don't need others…" Cassey adds.

"When you have us, Master," Arcane continues, blushing as she looks down.

"That's right!" Luna says. "Ah, cupcake, those boys over there are watching you. I don't know why," Meisheng says, pointing to a group of noble guys who are watching Void and whispering to each other.

"Heh…?" Void comes back to reality. "Maybe they're your fans or have a crush on you all. I don't think I've done anything outstanding," Void says, folding his arms and tilting his head in thought.

"Sir Middletown!" A peasant girl with an olive-beige complexion and chocolate brown eyes calls out. Her lively chocolate brown hair is tied in a classy mid-length ponytail. She wears a puffed sleeve top covered by a breastplate, with a single pauldron on her left shoulder and a knife-pleated skirt. She fidgets nervously.

Void turns to face her. "Yes! Is there something you need?" he asks, one brow twitching nervously, while Zoe and the others stand ready with their blades.

"I… I… May I take a selfie with you?" she asks, nervously pulling out her smartphone. "I've been following you for a long time. I've seen you fight! You're my idol!" she says, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

"My fan…? But when did you see me fight?" Void asks, focusing intently as memories flood back.

"Four years ago in Vlanrine Town, when you defeated 35 people with a single slash. I saw you—your swift and agile moves. I practiced a lot to replicate your sword style, but due to my affinity, I wasn't able to. But I still tried hard!" she says, her eyes filled with joy. "Please… please, just one selfie, maybe from a distance…" she pleads with her puppy-dog eyes.

"Alright, go ahead!" Void agrees. As they take the photo, the sound of the shutter brings back a memory of a girl with similar features. "Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to the academy," the girl says as she leaves. Void stops her.

"Miss, what's your name by the way?" Void asks. When she turns around and says her name, Void is stunned. His eyes widen as she leaves, leaving Void in shock, sweat forming around his neck.

Eliza… Eliza… Shuri Lux! You really played well this time. The Knight Eliza Lux was replaced by this Shuri I bet that bitch did this to get close to the prince!

 If I remember correctly, she's one of the villainesses in the game who made me break my things at home! Her presence here is bad news for me; she's the villain who tries to get close to the heroine candidate.

In her character, she had a crush on Princess Vanessa. Princess Vanessa, being a complex character, fights the heroine due to her brother complex and eventually dies at Eliza's hands...

"Master! Have this," Arcane says, bringing hot chocolate and guiding the straw to Void's mouth. "I guess Master was so nervous about the enrollment he didn't get his share of hot chocolate!" Arcane says.

"I see Brother likes chocolate!" Luna observes, shaking her head.

"I guess there's nothing to worry about. The girl was definitely odd. I've never seen a peasant being so bold and approaching a noble like that…" Zoe mutters, her eyes calculating. "That girl is bad news!"

"All students, please pay attention! The ride for the academy on the 'Elysian Majesty' will depart in half an hour. Students are requested to board now!" the professor announces.
