[DEFILED ASYLUM - 13th Floor]

Ainz's POV

As we moved forward, the abomination slowly turned and confronted us. Only then were we able to see it clearly.

The Monster was huge, even bigger than the Frankenstein on the floor below.

Its body was composed of different body parts from different races. It has no head, its body littered with eyeballs, with the arms of humanoids, demihumans, and animals. It has a large mouth stuck at its torso, with a long slithery snake as a tongue. Its legs are bipedal with hooves and spikes. Its skin color was that of the darkest shade of purple, borderline black.

It was scary for the most part. It looked like a mutated Dullahan made of flesh, minus the head-holding arms.

It's naked, without a hint of armor. Other than a necklace of sorts coiled on one of its human arms. He was bare as a babe, minus the genitals of course. The game wouldn't allow such graphics.

Cassandra chained up a series of Magic Spells to boost her stats and attacks while Sera was busy building up barriers and booster spells on her.

Cassandra then charged up on the monster and sent a flurry of attacks only to be swiped away by the abomination's hands.

Which shook me bewildered.

'How was it able to do that?! I thought this was just a level 75 Dungeon? How come it was able to demolish Cassandra with one hit and barely has its HP chipped by her series of attacks? Something's not right...' I thought as I assessed the situation.

The monster didn't move nor go after us, it just went back to its position and faced the woman in the cage, its back on us.

Cassandra then removed herself from the rubble of the wall and the skeletons that dropped on her.

She returned to her position before and spoke to Sera.

"Something is at play, Sister. Something which I do not know. It seems this floor is special unlike the other Dungeons we have cleared so far" Cassandra asked Sera voice filled with questions.

"I agree sister, the fact that it did not attack us after aggro and merely went back to once it came. Seems suspicious. Even your attacks simply chipped a small amount of its total HP" Sera answered.

"We shall search the entire floor for now for clues then. We'll see what we can find." Cassandra instructed.

'Noice! The game just got mysterious and interesting. Now we're Scooby-Dooing this whole floor' As I said that to myself something happened.

The piled-up corpses that littered the whole 13th floor suddenly came back to life!

Not 'Resurrection' or 'Revived' but Zombified. I started hacking on them one by one since both Players were busy looking for clues.

I wanted to help with the search but I don't have the mechanics to do so. I'm only directed to either follow a specific set of orders or fight enemy monsters.

'Oh the woes of being a handsome NPC~ such great tragedy~' I said dramatically as I continued to cuttle their numbers down.

The funny thing is, the zombies here are not high-leveled. Which was suspicious since this is the 13th floor.

'Hmmm... low leveled zombies, boss-like abomination not attacking us, suspicious necrophiliac woman... WAIT a minute!' As I pieced everything I knew.

Maybe the abomination is not The Boss of this floor. Maybe it's the woman? How does that make sense? Beauty and beast theme but backward? with Belle being the evil one? Possible...

I charged towards the direction of the abomination as I aggroed the Zombies to tail me, not to attack said abomination but to try to assess what was happening between the beauty and the beast up close while the 2 were busy finding Nemo.

"[Detect].... [Detect]... Tsk Nothing...

[Detect] *Ting!* Oh! Found Something!" Sera exclaimed excitedly as she found an item within the raggy clothes of one of the skeletons that was hanging inside a torture chamber.

It was a [The Fool's Diary].

Cassandra went to Sera and they both inspected the Item. A game screen pop-up then appeared as it contained the details of the [The Fool's Diary].

{Year ???, Day ???

I have finally met the ONE. She is so pretty, so sweet, so kind, so... MAGICAL!

But she told me that I was ugly.

She told me I was weak.

She told me I was not worthy of her love.

She told me I have to be BIG.

She told me I have to be STRONG.

She told me she knows ways.

She told me she can do it.

She told me to trust her so we can be TOGETHER!

So I let her do what she wants.

That's what love is right? To love, one must sacrifice.

She told me to lure others to her room and told me to bring her bodies of the strong.

I took the body of a sleeping rich merchant.

She did not like it.

I took the body of a drunk noble.

She was not satisfied.

So I took an enslaved minotaur.

Her brow raised in interest.

I gave her a large dead snake.

She smiled.

I gave her all kinds of bodies, from monsters to other races and only then was she satisfied.

She invited me to her room last night, it was bloody, but I did not care.

She told me to meet her at the Asylum, so I could meet her and her family there.

I hope they'll like me despite their broken minds.

Cassandra raised her sight upon the abomination and then to the woman in the cage.

'It's Her! She's the [Boss]!' Cassandra exclaimed loud enough for me to hear.

I don't know what they found and what information they got but it seems it helped them in drawing to conclusion about who is the real [Boss] on this floor.

I was still busy clearing off the Zombies and I tried to hit the cage to test if it could be destroyed only for the monster to grab me and throw me like a baseball.

I was thankfully stopped by my wings as I started to maneuver to control my trajectory, only to land on the bloody floor like Captain America would.

'I could do this all day' I said as I swiped the imaginary blood on my face.

Sera buffed me and Cassandra more with support spells and also debuffed the Abomination which turns out to be [The Fool], trying to protect the woman.

Cassandra charged through all the remaining Zombies and gave them no mind as she focused a ranged attack, targeting the woman. Only for [The Fool] to block it.

"Sister! Focus all your attention on the woman! Let Ainz handle the Zombies. I'll take care of this foolish one" Cassandra shouted as she instructed Sera.

"Very well, Sister. I'll do what I can. My Beloved, [Protect Me]!" Sera answered and ordered me.

"I am your shield and the blade in your hands, My Love" I answered as I aggroed all the Zombies to my position as My Love was busy preparing her spell.

"You have dared to defile the sanctity of life, of love, and of trust. You will receive Fiery Judgment! [Chain Magic] [Maximize Magic] [Heaven's Law] [Heavenly Retribution] [Heaven Smite]!"

As I killed the last Zombie that remained, while Cassandra was busy doing Hit-n-Run tactics with [The Fool].

A series of large magic circles surrounded Sera. Three spells chained and maximized to the brim is an amazing sight.

A golden beam struck the cage where the Boss was. It was dreadfully screaming, a scream that can contend to a Banshee's.

It was immobilized by the light and looked like it was disintegrating her to the molecular level.

Then All I saw was white!

Till the blinding light receded, when the Boss was no more.

The Abomination stopped moving and vanished in thin air as a game screen pop-up appeared!

[You have cleared the [Defiled Asylum] Dungeon!]

Hello everyone! I'm back!

I was busy preparing myself for an exam this coming Monday so I got to study.

I made this chapter during my breaks.

Once again, I would like to thank everyone for reading and supporting me! I didn't think that I would reach a hundred Power Stones in just 1 week! It goes to show that you liked it to the point where you willingly gave it to me, my work, despite having countless choices from the masterpieces here in this app.
