Arthur leaned back in his chair, cracking his stiff neck. Three hours of reading had given him a clearer picture of rune smithing, but now he was eager to take action. The book's first section had laid the groundwork, but his excitement surged as he flipped to the second part of the book: the practical application of rune smithing.
He skimmed the first few pages until his eyes locked onto a bold heading: Basic Rune Inscription: Materials and Methods.
as he read the chapter he came to know that runes could be inscribed by any ink that could hold mana, generally beast blood was used to inscribe low level runes, but for high level runes specialized liquids and ingredients were available in the market.
there were also inscription papers available in the market which were specially made for runesmiths to practice
before he was going to continue he decided to take the book to his room so could order some inscription materials to try inscriptions.
Arthur closed the book and stepped on the orb that was similar to the one he had seen earlier. He was about to exit the space when he suddenly remembered. He hadn't done today's Gacha pull.
Now with a thought, a system screen with some options materialized in front of him.
----------------------------------------
[SUPREME GACHA SYSTEM -
1.STATUS
2.INVENTORY
3.GACHA WHEEL]
-----------------------------------------
Arthur couldn't suppress a grin as he tapped the "Gacha Wheel" option on the screen. A familiar sound of chimes echoed in his mind, and the system interface shifted, revealing a vibrant wheel adorned with glowing sections. Each section bore the name of a rank, from F to SSS.
The size of the F section was the largest, and the SSS section was as small as the width of a nail. The percentages for each chance were displayed:
---------------------------------------------
[GACHA WHEEL -

E - 20%
D - 15%
C - 12%

(NOTE: THE THEME OF THE WHEEL WILL BE RESET ONE HOUR )]
--------------------------------------------------
Arthur had read about this function of the Gacha early on and was amazed at its adaptability, but now, seeing the phenomenon in action, he could barely contain his excitement.
He looked closely to see if the chances of getting an SSS reward had increased, but shook his head when he saw that only the design and reward type had changed. Despite the disappointment, a grin spread across his face as an idea struck him.
He opened his inventory and took out a special item. this was the dice of fortune he had received from the fist ten Gacha pulls.
----------
[DICE OF FORTUNE (ARTIFACT - MYTHIC)]
[I am rich!!!!]
[A toy made by the god of luck that he gifts to his favorite children]
[Effects- when there is an event with a probability of less than 10% , if then before the start this dice is rolled on the subject of the event then the probability will reset to the following:
1 : 10% chance
2 : 20% chance
3 : 40% chance
4 : 60% chance
5 : 80% chance
6 : 100% chance]
-----------
ARTHUR didn't know if this could work but he still wanted to try his luck. the chance of getting a SSS rank reward from the Gacha was less than 1%, so it should be applicable that the dice works on the Gacha wheel.he looked at the dice in his hands and the information about how to use it entered his mind. Apparently he just had to close his eyes and think about the event for which he wanted to increase his chances. If the dice shines then the probability of that event is changeable and the dice will work. He did as told, he closed his eyes and thought about changing the chances of SSS ranked rewards in the Gacha wheel. as soon as he thought about it the dice in his hands started shining with a faint glow.
Without hesitation, he rolled the dice on a nearby table. The artifact tumbled for a few seconds before coming to a stop.
The top face revealed the number 4.
The dice after tumbling a few inches came to a stop as the number 4 could be seen on its top face. As soon as it happened the wheel in front of Arthur's eyes started changing with a hum and the section which labelled SSS Rank rewards expanded to cover almost 60% of the section of the wheel.[DING!! PROBABILITY FOR SSS REWARDS UPDATED: 60%]
Arthur did not wait a second as he knew that he had essentially found a loophole and had a feeling that he would be banned from using this method so without waiting wasting any time and with anticipation brimming in his eyes he said
"SPIN"
The wheel began to spin rapidly, its sections blurring together. Arthur watched intently as it gradually slowed down. The needle hovered over the border of the SSS section, and for a moment, he thought it might land elsewhere. But then, with a satisfying click, it stopped dead center on SSS.
[DING!!! CONGRATULATION TO THE HOST FOR OBTAINING 'THE INFINITY QUILL(SSS)']
the notification rung in front of Arthur his eyes having a hint of surprise and mischief.
"An SSS rank reward!" he shouted, pumping his fist into the air. "Hahahah! This system is so broken! Unlimited potential—fck! Fck! Tsk! Tsk! Yesssss!!
He was already imagining a future where he pulled SSS rank rewards every single day. But before he could revel in his victory, another notification appeared.
------------------------------
[DING!! Detected: Host has found a bug in the system.]
[SYSTEM UPDATE IN PROGRESS...]
[DING!! System updated.]
[DING!! Firewall established.]
[DING!! Dice of Fortune will no longer work on the system.]
----------------------------------
Arthur froze. His earlier euphoria shattered in an instant. He stared at the notifications with a blank expression, his dreams of exploiting the system now crushed.
"Are you kidding me...?" he muttered, his voice filled with despair. He slumped into his chair, staring at the glowing quill in his hands. "I could have had everything."
For a moment, the room was silent except for the faint hum of the orb. Then, Arthur sighed deeply, shaking his head. "Well, at least I got the quill. Let's see what this thing can do."
Still, he couldn't shake the lingering sense of loss. Somewhere, the God of Luck was probably laughing at his misfortune.
he activated his sight of genesis looked at the shining quill in his hands that had appeared out of his inventory, he felt warmth and relief in his hands as soon as he had touched the quill's sleek black body adorned with golden engravings.

7. ANTI-TAMPERING SHIELD
Once a rune is inscribed using the Infinity Quill, it gains a protective layer that prevents tampering or distortion by external forces unless the user permits it.
8. RUNE STABLIZATION
-Prevents rune degradation over time, making the runes permanent unless manually erased or countered.
-Provides a stability boost to inscriptions made on volatile materials or unstable surfaces.]
[BOUND TO ARTHUR NOLAN]
----------------------------------------------------------
"Unlimited ink?!" he exclaimed, his voice echoing in the quiet space. "With this, I'll never have to be bothered about resources for rune smithing again!"
Arthur leaned back against the table, a grin spreading across his face. The sheer utility of the Infinity Quill was dawning on him. He recalled how he'd read about many rune smiths in the world being forced to abandon their craft—or worse, plateau in their skills—simply because they lacked access to high-quality materials or mana-imbued ink. The market for such resources was notoriously expensive and often monopolized by powerful guilds and aristocratic families.
"With this quill," he muttered to himself, twirling it between his fingers, "I can break past those limitations. Forget about low-level runes—I can start practicing mid- to high-level inscriptions without worrying about running out of resources!"
he said with a mischievous glint in his eyes, "let's test this bad boy out."
