New Combat Skills

As Long Chen was thinking within his mind, Xiao Wan Wan was licking her lips which Long Chen had just released his hands from, with an intoxicated expression on her white porcelain face, 'Brother Long Chen's hand is so…sweet and warm!'

Turning her little head to look towards Long Chen, she thought inwardly, 'I can't let Brother Long Chen brave the danger alone. I should ask some of my guards to help protect him in the dark.'

"Xiao Wan Wan, what are you thinking about?" Long Chen saw that Xiao Wan Wan was in a daze and waved his hands in front of her.

"It's nothing…Brother Long Chen, take care!" Xiao Wan Wan snapped out of her stupor, and with her face starting to burn, she hurriedly waved goodbye to Long Chen and ran away.

Long Chen looked towards her fading silhouette with a complicated expression, before he shook his head and sighed, and walked towards his courtyard.

Within the courtyard, he was getting ready for his mission. Or more specifically, the people that Chen Yu Yang will send to kill him off during the mission.

He was sure that Chen Yu Yang himself won't be killing him off personally, as it would be quite suspicious if both he and Chen Yu Yang had disappeared at the same time, and then he was revealed to be dead later on.

The only problem he had was if Chen Yu Yang had sent a Sky Realm assassin to him. Although he had the ability to surpass Realms and fight, there was no way he was able to fight against somebody a Great Realm above him at this moment.

Just as he was pondering deeply, somebody knocked on his door, and without waiting for an answer, the person walked into his courtyard.

"So it is the mighty Sect Leader! What do you want today? I must tell you, that I won't be giving you a single Crystal to pay for the house I destroyed, because I have no money right now." Long Chen warily stared at Yun Che Liang who was walking in with both his hands behind his back and a wise look on his face.

Yun Che Liang's face darkened when he heard Long Chen's words and saw his cautious gaze, "Am I such a black hearted Sect Leader in your eyes? My responsibility as a Sect Leader is to care for all my disciples and let them live a comfortable life. Why would I extort money out of somebody like you for?"

"First, let's not talk about what a great Sect Leader I am. I heard that you have taken up a 3 Star mission from the mission hall today?" Yun Che Liang peered at Long Chen and seriously asked.

As he stared at Long Chen, his pupils suddenly dilated in shock.

The 6th Elementary Realm! Long Chen was now in the 6th Elementary Realm! He distinctly remembered that the day when Long Chen broke through to the Elementary Realm and caused ruckus which needed him to clean up was not very long ago.

"Long Chen, I must warn you that although some pills on the dark market can help you explosively increase your cultivation, they all deal great destruction to your future potential." Yun Che Liang began to speak in a somber tone, before he felt like something was wrong.

Which kind of pills could make one increased all the way from a newly broken through Elementary Realm to the 6th Elementary Realm that quickly?

And he realized that the aura emanating out of Long Chen was incomparably stable and dense, looking nothing like it was forcefully enhanced through the use of pills.

Yun Che Liang swallowed his saliva as he lightly coughed to disperse of his awkwardness, as he continued to speak with an unnatural expression, "As expected of a genius! Although you have achieved some accomplishments in your cultivation progress, I have to remind you not to be complacent either."

Then, Yun Che Liang threw Long Chen a small storage bag which the latter caught within his hands.

"What is inside, and what is this for?" Long Chen frowned his eyebrows in bewilderment.

"It's your extra resources of cultivation. I have placed 300 Crystals within, as well as a few other combat skills for you to learn." Yun Che Liang said.

"Are you sure? Are you…joking with me right now?" Long Chen doubtfully asked. Ever since he had entered the Moonlight Sect, when had the old cheapskate in front of him ever given him anything?

Yun Che Liang stared back at Long Chen expressionlessly without saying a single word. Looking at Yun Che Liang's face, Long Chen already half-believed his words, and when he saw the glittering crystals along with the various combat skills manuals, his expression turned into complete astonishment.

"Sect Leader, are you sick today? How could you even know how to send resources to me?" Long Chen lifted his gaze from the storage bag while staring at Yun Che Liang in shock.

Yun Che Liang face stiffened, "If you don't want them, then you can give it back to me."

"How could I? This is the Sect Leader's gift to me, of course I must appreciate it and keep it safe." Long Chen hurriedly replied while masterfully shoving this small storage bag into his pockets.

There was no way he was going to give up on the free crystals and combat skills.

Then, Long Chen's face abruptly turned serious as he asked, "You must know about the issue with Elder Cang and Chen Yu Yang."

"Oh? I didn't know that you would already know who the hidden person behind it all was." Yun Che Liang raised one of his eyebrows in slight surprise.

"Yes, of course I knew of this. But don't you need some obstacle in your life every once in a while? How else can you grow stronger if you don't overcome the difficulties within your path? At least, this is how the world works, and if you are unable to defeat this small enemy of yours, how could you ever rise to success in the future?" Yun Che Liang said in a low, solemn voice, not bothering to deny at all.

"Good luck, and I hope you won't die." Yun Che Liang threw back a sentence, before he swiftly disappeared from the courtyard.

Long Chen stared at the empty space where Yun Che Liang had once stood in contemplation for a while, then placed his sights onto the combat skill manuals.

There were three books within.

Looks like the Sect Leader has given me quite some great benefits.

Skills were graded from 1 to 9. Grade 1 to Grade 3 is considered as Low-Grade. Grade 4 to Grade 6 is considered as Mid-Grade. Grade 7 to Grade 9 was High-Grade.

High-Grade skills were rare in the Wind Cloud City, with only those huge backgrounds able to glimpse of them.

For the Sect Leader to directly give him 3 in one go, this was probably taken from his secret stash.

He learnt the 3 different skills, and they instantly appeared on his status screen.
