After some time, they returned with a satisfactory location: a room within the ground level, not too far from Sebastian's location.
The room was large, with intact stone walls and a vaulted ceiling that reached high into the darkness above.
Layers of dust and debris covered the floor, yet it looked flat and stable. That would be good for someone who needed to rest.
The room had several advantages that made it an ideal place to hide and rest.
First, it was relatively secluded away from the main corridors of the fortress.
Second, it had several large windows that provided ample natural light during the day but were high enough to not allow fangeds to rush in and offered an escape route.
Third, the walls featured several alcoves that could serve as temporary sleeping quarters or storage spaces for supplies.
