Godlike: The Rise of a Skill-stealing Rune Master chasing revenge

Utterly mad and consumed by hatred, Sebastian attacked Erika Luttrell’s manor. As the woman incinerated him to ashes, Sebastian died with a crazed smile on his face, finding humor in his own death. But fate had a wild twist in store for Sebastian. Thanks to a trinket bequeathed by his dead father, the pyromancer gets sent back to the past, landing right in the middle of another shot at payback. There is only a tiny insignificant problem plaguing the man. Madness followed him, pushing him to take completely avoidable risks. The forest (2)

Sebastian sprinted through the forest, the swarm of vines thickened around him. His undead minions followed behind, weaving through the snaking tendrils, bones rattling, and trees snapping.

The vines lashed out at Sebastian like whips, but the Rune Master and his minions were quick to avoid them.

However, for the undead, it wasn't so simple. The only reason they were still standing was because the creature sensed Sebastian as the only alive being and focused on him rather than on the undead.

If only Sebastian could have used his illusion. The problem was that it wouldn't bring any benefit now, since the creature used vibrations to detect its prey.

As they moved deeper into the heart of the swarm, the vines grew denser, their bone-colored tendrils writhing and twisting like living snakes.

Sebastian could feel the wind moving past him as the vines whipped past him, the wind touch sending bolts of excitement through him.
