He took a moment to steady his nerves, then peered warily at the ruins once more.
Echo Revenants. Sebastian killed many of them before his regression, and he never thought to feel fear again because of them or to feel it at all.
Unease—he could have it. Panic, sometimes, but fear? It became an alien concept to him years ago.

The area around Sebastian was devoid of fangeds now, after such chaos and bloodshed.
The swarming mounds of termites and battling sentinels were gone without a trace from this area, or maybe they had never been here to begin with.
An eerie stillness had fallen in the area, but not far away from here the monsters were still fighting.
<I wonder if the Moundfang termites will be stupid enough to attack Echo Revenant.>
