Yennifer, who couldn't stand to see me being even slightly happy, asked Mom and Dad to back her up.

They scolded me and said impatiently, "Yenn has liked playing with Kayden since she was a child. Can't you be nice to her? Can you stop causing trouble?"

I smiled wryly as a feeling of bitterness crept into my heart.

After I got up and washed up the next day, I rode my bicycle to school. However, my brake failed on the way, and I fell on the roadside.

Cars sped past me, and I was so shocked that I broke out in a cold sweat.

Something really bad could have happened to me.

I really wondered why my bicycle brakes were suddenly broken.

I gritted my teeth as I checked it. Finally, at an inconspicuous spot, I found an even cut on my brake cable.

I suddenly remembered seeing Yennifer walking upstairs when I went to the bathroom last night.

I ran home angrily. Yennifer was having breakfast and having a happy conversation with Mom and Dad.

"It's you! You tampered with my brakes!"
