Blood on the Dance Floor, Part 1

Jun didn't know what had happened to him.

It seemed like time had momentarily froze in place for him - he had tried to cut the string of fate before Jayden's attack landed, he even felt his sword come into contact with the string.

But then, everything went black. No pain, no warning, nothing. He could hear voices and other noises but he could barely form a conscious thought at the moment, much less try to move his body. Jun had been hit with the full brunt of the pain brought on by Jayden's attack thanks to Fydos altering the string of fate and his body paid the price.

A sickening crack could be heard followed by high pitch screaming. Jun managed to partially open his eyes to see what could be happening around him. Through blurred vision he could see someone walking away from him.

Is that Ryo? He thought.
