Baby Steps

Mugen woke up the next morning with his ears still ringing from the lecture his mother gave him yesterday.

He looked through the window and stared at the morning sky, feeling the beautiful morning sunshine his mood made a turn for the better.

It was at that moment he recalled a very important situation. When was he? Mugen was always in his own world since birth. All he did was secretly absorb chakra, eat and then as an infant of only a few months, sleep would overpower him and he was disinclined to fight back since he knew it would be detrimental to both his health and growth, he most certainly did not want a tiny penis.

He hurriedly left the house and wandered about the village eavesdropping on conversations and old ladies gossip. It was then that he heard gossip of the genius of the hatake clan that would be enrolling in the academy tomorrow.

"Genius of the hatake clan ...that could only be ....kakashi huh," Mugen thought."that means the third great shinobi war is 7-8 years from now. "

"Thinking of kakashi, he somehow comes to mind, Might Guy. What was it that madara said? ...The greatest taijustu user of all time huh....sounds like fun, still though that fight was definitely one of the best ever in the series. It really had my blood pumping. Fighting him would be...nah, to make it fun he would have to, at the very least, open the eighth gate."

"A shame such a shame, though I couldn't have asked for a better starting point." Mugen thought.

It was at that moment he recalled a very important and pressing matter.

Kurenai and Asuma met at the entrance ceremony for the academy.

He must prevent that from happening or at least get to her before feelings could sprout between the two.

He went to a famed ramen stall, and after a prolonged epic battle, he finally mounted the stool that was two heads taller than him. "Gimme food," Mugen said with his cute baby voice .

He sat waiting while thinking of a way to woo kurenai. A few moments later when he held the bowl of ramen in his tiny hands, thinking. A person entered the stall, it was an old man but not just any old man, It was Sarutobi hiruzen, the third fire shadow.

He laughed as he said " young one, you seem to be having difficulties with that bowl. Need a hand. " hiruzen said with a comical tone, after all the sight of a cute chubby, white haired infant with pinchable cheeks trying to eat ramen when he couldn't even reach the counter was far too amusing.

Pissed Mugen glared at the old man. Suddenly, he thought of something, " Sure old man, I need help but not with this, I want you to show me the shadow clone technique. "

"You want to learn the shadow clone technique?" Surprised hiruzen asked. "No, I want to create my own technique based on that jutsu." Mugen replied. Even more surprised the third stared at Mugen for a while. He agreed to show him only once. Busy as he was, he couldn't find time to teach little Mugen more. He also didn't believe Mugen as young as he is with such a small amount of chakra could learn the technique. But how wrong he was.

The third brought Mugen outside after eating. He demonstrated the handsigns for the transformation jutsu. Immediately afterwards he looked at Mugen casually but he was shocked by his eyes. "Crimson red and that pattern....The sharingan,"

"Who are you little one?" The hokage asked eager to know more about this abnormality after all, his white hair and blue eyes were clear as day not to mention his age.

" I am Mugen Uchiha, " Mugen replied. His suspicions proving true, the third didn't know what to think. He made up his mind to investigate this young boy when he returned.

"Thanks old man, " Mugen said as he swaggered off, deactivating his sharingan.

Mugen spent the evening trying to perform the 'Glacial Style : Glacial clone' but it was easier said than done. Although he did made progress,though minute it was still a step forward,baby steps.

That night he continued to think of a way to get kurenai until lt finally it came to him.

He is a year old and while she is also a child, she is several years older than him, like all the other ladies she'll probably just think he's small and cute. That leaves him two options. The transformation jutsu or sending her a love letter while preventing her from seeing his true face and also preventing her from thinking it's Asuma so their feelings don't develop.

He decided to go with both, simply because that's his style, he never liked to choose in cases like these. Both methods together will provide better results while reducing the unexpected variables. He was short on time since the ceremony is tomorrow so he needs to move fast.

"As for Asuma that old chap, I'm going to have to knock him out and make him miss the ceremony. It can't be helped, better safe than sorry." Mugen thought. " Asuma old chap, I'm sorry but alls fair in love and war, anything goes. " Mugen prayed for poor asuma who will have his girl stolen without meeting her.

"The letter hm, no need i guess, I'll say it myself while plagiarizing some romantic words i saw on the internet.The transformation jutsu huh, hmm I guess I'll steal it, tonight."

Mugen got dressed and secretly left the house. It was while he was wandering aimlessly wondering where he would steal the jutsu from , that he met him.

A spikey white haired perverted old man. One of the leaf's three legendary sanin, Jiraiya.

He was disinclined to learn from this fool but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Stealing a porn mag would take too long so he improvised and blackmailed him.

" hey old man, show me the transformation juts u or I'll tell on you, I know you like peaking at naked ladies. "

Shocked inwardly by this little infants words in the middle of the street which caused all eyes to be him, however he put on his poker face and said, "I don't know what ...,"

" Oh don't play dumb old geezer, we both know whether or not I'm speaking the truth. Unless you would rather find out what happens after I tell hmm" Mugen continued to blackmail him.

Speechless by how such a cute and angelic looking baby could have such a black heart, jiraiya stood frozen in place and eventually gave in.

Jiraiya hurriedly performed the hand signs for the transformation technique to get rid of this demonic brat. However, he was also given a shock when he saw Mugen use the sharingan to watch for the same reasons as the third. He decided to pay his old teacher a visit and ask him about this little devil.

To get the technique down, he asked jiraiya to perform it several times until finally he decided to give it a try , not surprisingly, he did it in one try. He then tossed poor old jiraiya away as he headed home to conserve his chakra for tomorrow's plan.
