Chapter 9 - The Art of the Deal
Xin Jin and company were now sitting on a comfortable couch in a private room of the Abundant Treasures Imporium.
Before they began, a gorgeous servant served everyone a cup of expensive looking tea.
"Mmm, nice." Xin Jin said after taking a sip.
Finally the older manager spoke up after a small awkward silence "How may I help you Young Master..." She trailed off. allowing Xin Jin to introduce them.
"Xin Jin." He said with a smile.
"Young Master Xin Jin, What can we do for you?" Gu Ling asked again politely.
"I would like your establishments help in selling this at auction." Xin Jin said this as he took out the Dragon Blood Jade.
"Of course, I want this jeweler to use a third of it to make 2 rings, 2 pendants with the name 'Xin' inscribed, and a pair of earrings for me." He added
The Manager, Gu Ling, literally couldn't speak after she saw the size of the Dragon Blood Jade.
She calculated that even after the jewelry is made, The resulting price for the remainder at auction would be astronomical. It may end up being the biggest sale of their careers. even if they bump the 3% commission to 1%, it would still be an obscene fortune.
"Y-y-you want u-us to auction this for you?" she asked just to make sure.
"Indeed." Xin Jin stated again.
"However, I have two conditions."
Gu Ling furrowed her brows slightly at his words.
She motioned for him to continue.
"1: I want 20000 Gold Taels upfront.
2: I want have of your business as collateral so I can be sure you don't rip me off." He stated simply.
Gu Ling took a deep breathe and then wrote a note that she then sent upstairs.
They sat in silence for roughly 2 minutes before a reply came.
when she opened it, she sighed at what she read.
"You have a deal." She said before bringing out a Storage Ring and she took out 20000 gold taels and put them on the table in front of Xin Jin.
"Pleasure doing business with you." He said with a big smile before putting the gold in his own storage ring.
A few minutes later, a contract came that officially signed over 50% of Abundant Treasures Imporium to Xin Jin, After which he handed over the Jade to the jeweler.
"The items will be done in two days." said the jeweler.
"Same time as the auction. you can pick them up after. You can also watch the auction from the VIP Booth on the third balcony." said the manager.
Xin Jin nodded as he stood up.
"See you in two days then." He said happily.
After saying their farewells, Xin and the girls made their way around town for a while and came across a small fair with clowns, fortune tellers, and dancing monkeys.
The latter of which was much loved by Han Yi.

While Xin Jin and the others enjoyed the remainder of their afternoon, the mysterious owner, now half owner, of the Imporium was using a couple different communication stones to get ahold of certain aristocrats, sect Master, and black market big wigs they could think of to invite them to the auction in two days, promising something they won't ever regret.
This of course only made the auction in Sky City spread like wildfire and speculation was rampant.
If there was one thing they knew.
This Dragon Blood Jade won't be paid for in gold or silver, but in Spirit Stones. Each of which is valued equivalent to 10,000 Gold Taels each. So if it gets bought for a few thousand Spirit Stones, that's millions in Gold.
If This auction went according to plan, very soon Abundant Treasures Imporium will be the biggest Merchant and Auction house in the province.
In one fell swoop, they would have all the capital needed to expand rapidly.

When they finally got home, Luo Mei asked curiously "How much do you think you'll get?"
"How much do you want?" Xin Jin replied with a question
Luo Mei thought about it.
