That night, under the cloak of darkness, Hila slipped out of Laury Kingdom. He strolled towards the city gate, a casual gait that belied the sinister intentions swirling within him.
"Leaving already?" one of the knights asked
Hila offered a curt nod, his eyes flickering with amusement at their veiled fear. "Just some pressing matters to attend to," he replied smoothly.
The knight grunted, unconvinced. "Be careful out there. These woods are crawling with monsters after nightfall."
A cruel smile played on Hila's lips. "Monsters," he echoed, the word dripping with irony. "I think I can handle myself." With that, he sauntered past the gate, leaving the guards alone there not knowing he just take stealing some life.
