A Way There pt. 4

Since each team has their own schedule on where they going to head out, all the four teams went into our separate ways, to four different exhibits.

"We've arrived kids, welcome to Exhibit 4!"

After hearing Sir Mahanta's words, we turned our gaze to the right, and behold! Another gigantic gate. Although this one's sheets of metal are painted with a light brownish pattern, almost yellowish-orange.

Is it based on the skin shade of the animals living here?

"Out of the bus now, let's meet the gatekeeper!"

With a kind smile, Sir Mahanta led us down from the black bus and lined up horizontally in front of the gate. He then proceeded to talk with the Living Corpse, though I couldn't quite understand what they're saying, since it's spoken in Unity.

"Alright, I guess this is our last time meeting for today, so remember! From this point onward the only ones you can depend on are your teammates and yourselves." Said the Watcher after he's done with the gatekeeper and walked neatly towards us.

"Wait… are you saying, you're not going to supervise us in there, Sir?" Asked Hada, he looked a little bit shocked by it.

"Negatory!" Sir Mahanta firmly answered.

"Is this really okay, Sir? Even Sahasya lost his hand the last time we went hunting…" Everyone nodded in agreement with Falisha.

"Have no fear kids! Actually… a bit of fear will help you survive, but back to the topic, this is actually a suggestion made by the King himself… so we can at least confirm you're going to survive till the end. Though in what condition? I can't even yet to fathom it."

Our watcher scratched his head harshly, beginning to get concerned about the safety of our mentality. Traumatizing new blood like us of course won't be good for our career onward.

"So even though we'll all destined to survive exploring the harsh zoo, there's a chance we'll be coming home with all limbs chopped off!?" Hada isn't the type to be fearing danger, but he sure is annoyed right now.

"Yeah… but hey! It's a perfect opportunity to strengthen your bond with your teammates, this is a place where teamwork is the sole key to surviving, also a nice time to make wonderful memories without annoyance from an adult." Sir Mahanta smiled, calm and collected, if it's a fake one then that's some good dramatic skill.

"Well, there's no use complaining about something we cannot change," I said to calm Hada.

"Still…" He knew, yet he couldn't help feeling unease about it.

"Father must've wanted the best for our sake, let's just enjoy our journey, and experience a new land!" I embraced his shoulder with my right arm.

"Argh fuck it! Let's just do it!" He nearly shouted, we all can feel his determination.

"That's the spirit!"

Sir Mahanta then snapped his finger, and the Living Corpses started unlocking the gate, opening a way for us to enter the newly experienced land called the Savanah.

"Woah that's… a view for sure."

As the gate widens, the sun rose from its slumber, slowly enlightening the orange-shaded land, where the tall yellow grass filled the entire ground. The feeling was dry, yet I can see trees stood proud lonely all over, with each similar shape, as if they came here in uniform.

Although, we did not yet see any animals through this first impression.

"Oh right, I almost forgot…" As Sir Mahanta said it, we all quickly shifted our gaze towards him.

"Savanna is known to be the harshest amongst the 10 biomes when it came to fauna's cruelty. Animal and Taanjis aside are fighting aggressively, not just to hunt prey, but also to engage in combat for territory." He added.

"Wow! What a jackpot!" Said Hada sarcastically.

"Good luck! And Have fun!"

Our Watcher then left us back to the black bus and went straight to the City.

"Oh! By the way, do we have a mission we need to accomplish? Pretty sure it's not just surviving right? Cause we can do that just fine here near the gate." Chiya asked, after the sound of the bus completely faded away.

"Ah yes… Hazana held it." I pointed at Hazana's tote bag, which she always wears wherever she goes.

"A moment… here, you want to read it, Chiya?" The lightning girl took out a tied scroll from her back and offered it to the lady.

"Okiey~"

Chiya then took the scroll and untied the string from its center. She spread the paper open, held it firmly, far and straight from her chest.

"Ahem! Sup kids! This is ya boy, the Instructor. So, team 1 eh? I see you'll stroll around the Savannah, what a time to be alive! Or dead if you're not careful. Aight here's my proposition, I'll give you two shits to accomplish, then you'll gain A+ for a reward, not bad of an offer eh?"

The lady tried her best to completely reenact his message.

"Is this the Vhisawi we've seen on Tuesday morning?" Anna asked.

"Yep, he sounds like someone who would send people to their deaths just to satisfy his boredom."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"First, try not to die for at least 22 hours. I know the trill is hella exciting… tho just remind yourself about the pitiful numeric shits written on your bio."

Chiya continued reading.

"Ouch…"

That's one way to tell us how weak we're right now compared to the Guild members.

"Second… oh my Angel, you might like this one, kids. You see, the God Kid had a special facility somewhere in the center of the Exhibit."

Chiya went on with the next reading.

"Wait… did he just call His Holiness Verslinder the God Kid…?" I had to point that out, it sounded so disrespectful.

"Yeah… to be completely honest, I'm kind of afraid reading that, but knowing His Holiness… He probably couldn't care less." The lady replied.

"I thought as much," I added.

"In this facility, there's a Ratna, colored like the midnight sun, beautifully wrapped in a sheet of silver… oh! And a nice red bow on top of it. Find it and consider your task done. Good luck! And don't die, the game still had three more days after lmao."

Chiya finally finished reading the scroll.

"That's it? He didn't provide any more clue for the directions and place?" Hada asked with an indignant tone in his voice.

"Nope, at least on what I found… here Your Grace, you can see the letter for yourself." Chiya then gave the scroll to Hada for him to check it further.

"Cold Wind… team three gonna have a bad time on this one." He said, with a deep sigh.

"How so, Your Grace?" Asked Hazana.

"They don't have any Ambawak on their team…"
