10 He's either a lunatic or he's a bad joker

"...huff huff"

Green panted heavily as they both arrived at the White Lion House after a very tiring run from the seniors that had tried to bully him.

"I think we were able to shake them off successfully"

Ryan said as he searched for any sign that they were followed but he didn't see any.

"Thank you for what you did back there"

Green said in appreciation,

"Hehe"

Ryan chuckled nervously as if to tell Green to forget about it,

"So what class are you in?"

He asked Green as they entered the elevator and ascended to the third floor,

"Year 1 A, what about you?"

"I'm in Year 1 A too, I guess we'll be seeing each other more often then"

Ryan said cheerily

'We?...'

Green thought

'Is he already considering me as his friend?'

Before Green could say anything contradictory, Ryan said

"Alright, here's my room. I'll catch you later"

With those words, he entered a room that had the numbers 020 written on the door and shut it as if he was in a hurry.

Green was now left standing alone in the hallway with only his thoughts for companionship,

'This school is nice but why am I so unlucky to get a target on my back as soon as I resumed. I have to find a way to deal with this issue, I can't be running away all the time....'

With these thoughts, he entered into his own room and shut the door behind him.

The Jacks had already began to make their moves, Jack 1 dyed his hair blonde and wore blue contact lenses beneath a pair of fancy spectacles to make him look more academic but there was nothing he could do about his height and muscular body.

He didn't want to use a transformation spell (the type that made him look like an old man in Ch.4) because it would take a huge strain on his magic power since he would be staying at the school for a very long time so he resorted to the old fashioned method of disguise. The new disguise was so perfect that his new face no longer had any trace of his former face.

He even went to the extent of forging fake documents for himself under the name Jack Jameson. With these documents ready, he fished out a black bracelet from his spatial storage, one that suppressed his magic aura and made him seem like a regular guy. After checking and cross checking his credentials and documents, he set off to the high school for his quest.

Meanwhile, his clone, Jack 2 boarded a plane to Flake City in the Northern Federation because it was at his school, the Rising Stars magic academy that was the only place in the world that had a library that contained all the knowledge in the universe, the Library of Knowledge. That, would be where he would be conducting his research on the unknown powerful attacker and the high school student with a new power.

[4th Cursed seal: Natural Disaster: Tsunami]

Wilhelm smiled maniacally as red runes appeared on Tenebris' arms,

'with this test run, I'll be able to know how powerful his magic power is'

However, his smile quickly faded as the water surface began to shake violently as if there was a great storm inside it, a moment later, Wilhelm found himself staring open-mouthed as waves of not less than 100 feet, each moving at a speed of 500mph flew towards the next city.

It was only a matter of seconds that it took for the tsunami to destroy the city and the lives and properties inside.

'What the hell? Not even Jack has enough magic power to create a natural disaster that can wipe out a city! This man is a beast'

Now, it was Tenebris' turn to smile as he looked at the damage that he caused

'Ohh... I never knew that the humans had this sort of destructive power amongst them'

"Y..y.. what did you do? I didn't tell you to destroy the whole city! Now they will start searching for the culprit?"

Wilhelm lamented

'If Jack finds out that I'm the one behind this, he may hunt me down and I don't want that to happen but he's not even the immediate threat. If the fraternity finds out that I used the seal without permission, they may snatch it away from me... Ahh... This Bristene of a man is making me go crazy'

he complained bitterly in his thoughts

"I need a cigarette"

He muttered as he hastily brought out a pack of golden colored cigarettes with shaky hands and put one in his mouth, his hands were shaking so much that he did not know when one of the sticks fell down. He was about to bring out his lighter from his pocket when Tenebris snapped his fingers and a small flame appeared on the bottom of the stick and lighted it, without wasting time, Wilhelm closed his eyes, inhaled the smoke into his lungs and breathed out slowly as the nicotine travelled to his brain, releasing adrenaline that calmed his trembling body with pleasure and energy.

"Thanks"

He muttered to Tenebris

"Can I have that?"

Tenebris asked

"Um... You mean the cigarette?"

Smoke came out of Wilhelm's mouth in puffs as he spoke

"Yes"

Tenebris said, he had sensed the pleasure that Wilhelm had felt when he smoked it so naturally, he wanted to feel it too.

"Do you smoke?"

"No"

"So you want to try it today... Bad man"

Wilhelm produced another stick of golden colored cigarette from his pack and gave it to Tenebris expecting him to choke on first breath but to his utmost dismay, Tenebris lighted it with his powers and smoked comfortably as if he had been doing it for years. What he didn't know was that Tenebris had spent years in raging battlefields and he had inhaled different kinds of smoke, an ordinary cigarette smoke on Earth was nothing to him.

'As I said earlier, it's either this guy is a lunatic or he is a bad joker..'

Wilhelm thought as he watched Tenebris form smoke rings with expertise.

"Let's get out of here before someone sees us"

Wilhelm had barely finished speaking when he felt darkness envelop him and he found himself back in the hotel VIP room sitting on the same white luxury couch with Tenebris.

'This guy's powers are just too crazy'

He thought while rubbing his forehead at the instantaneity of the teleportation,

"So do we have a deal?"

"Yes we do"

A smile appeared on Wilhelm's face and he said

"Nice doing business with you Mr Bristene, you can contact me anytime and I'll provide anything you need"

He brought out his business card from his breast pocket and placed it on the glass table.

He was about to stand up when Tenebris slammed Wilhelm's hand back on the table...

"Not so fast"

Wilhelm jerked in terror while thinking

'What does this lunatic want again? What did I do?'

"When are you going to introduce me to this 'fraternity' of yours?"

There was an evil grin on Tenebris' ugly face as he spoke

Wilhelm gulped in fear and thought

'I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about the fraternity to him. How does he know about it?'

"You're asking me how I know about it when your thoughts kept on screaming at me the entire time"

Wilhelm's pupils dilated in absolute terror as Tenebris spoke

'Y...y..you you can read minds! You have been reading my thoughts this entire time!"

"Hahaha"

Tenebris' laughter sounded like a burning furnace

"I wasn't reading your thoughts, Your thoughts were speaking to me"

"You...you... You're not human"

Wilhem said as he managed to pull his hand away from Tenebris' grip but the force he used made him to fall back on the couch.

"You're pretty dim witted, seeing as you haven't figured it out by now"

Tenebris said with an evil smile, he was still staring at Wilhelm.

"So what you said about killing the Grand Devil is true?"

Wilhelm asked

"Answer my question first"

'I know this sort of person, they just want to use you and when they find out everything they'll just kill you and..'

Wilhelm's thoughts were interrupted as Tenebris said

"I'm not going to kill you, as long as you give me what I want so... When are you going to introduce me to the fraternity? I'm pretty sure they're stronger than you seeing as you desperately want to be regarded highly by them"

Tenebris stood up and towered over Wilhelm who was cowering in fear.

"You can't just meet the fraternity any time you want, we usually have a meeting once in a year and that meeting will hold in the next four months"

Wilhelm rattled off in fear.

"I look forward to going with you"

Tenebris said and walked to the door, Wilhelm couldn't just stop watching him in fear,

"I'm tired so I'm going back to my room to rest, I'll call you when I need you"

He turned the door knob and the door opened then suddenly stopped and said

"One more thing..."

"Eh?"

Wilhelm looked up

"Don't keep me waiting... I hate lateness"

With these words, he left the room.

"Haa... What have I gotten myself into now?

Who could have known that he was this powerful?

I just hope that he's strong enough to defeat Jack so that this one-sided alliance can come to an end"
