Chapter 9: Control Yourself

A tense silence ensued between us as I kept holding on to the delicate hands of my beautiful boss, closing our heads together as I gazed into her beautiful blue eyes, which seemed to be as deep as the clear blue sky itself.

She also gazed back at me with eyes filled with wonder as she blushed at my confession... before slowly losing that wonderful red blush and her expression turned into just a normal blank expression.

I saw her blank expression blink a few times... as she seemed to begin sinking in the words I had just said to her...

"Wait... what did you say, Isaac?" She inquired with the same blank expression on her beautiful face.

"Please have sex with me!" Of course, I answered her obvious question with my (not so) obvious reply. While not as enthusiastic as before, it was more than enough to convey how I truly felt about her right now.

When she heard my answer, she blinked a few times again as she tried to process my words...

Then her blank expression turned into pure confusion, as if she had just realized what I had said to her.

"What?!" She exclaimed in confusion, with a bit of anger building up on her visage, reeling back and looking at me as if I had gone senile. "What the hell did you just ask me, Isaac?!"

"I'm serious here, boss!" I challenged her, closing the distance between us once more. I saw a slight tint of her wonderful blush return due to my daring approach.

"Your beautiful visage, your alluring figure, the way you carry yourself—EVERYTHING! You are the most beautiful and SEXIEST woman I have ever met..." I showered her with compliments... which may have gone a bit over the top and might get me in trouble with HR, but... I couldn't hold back as I also confessed to her, "... and I have been harboring these intense feelings since the first time we met, boss!"

When she heard my confession, I saw her expression turn into a mix of confusion and anger, but also... shyness and embarrassment as I kept my persistence toward her, closing the distance between our faces as much as possible to show my not-so-pure intentions toward her...

"So please, boss..." I closed the distance between us once more, leaning closer to her visage that was riddled with complex emotions, "... HAVE SEX WITH ME!"

Another tense silence ensued between us after I made that daring request... which only later did I realize might have been pushing it a bit too far...

And I was about to taste the regret of that mistake right now.

"Isaac...!"

Her voice was low and dangerous, her once-complex expression now distilled into pure anger, though that lovely blush still lingered on her cheeks. With a swift, practiced motion, she twisted my hands, breaking my grip on hers.

"CONTROL YOURSELF, IDIOT!!!"

Before I could react, she threw me off the ground with a powerful grappling move, sending me crashing to the floor.

"Agh!" I yelped in pain, feeling the cold, unforgiving surface of the hospital floor against my back.

My consciousness was slowly slipping away as the pain from being thrown and slammed by my beautiful superior coursed through my body.

Just then, I heard the door to my supposed hospital room burst open, and a flurry of footsteps echoed closer toward us.

"What happened here?!"

"Oh no! The patient!"

"Miss Maya, ma'am! What just happened here?!"

"Ah... I messed up."

I heard the gasps and panicked voices of what I assumed to be the doctor and nurse of this supposed hospital I had found myself in, as they questioned my boss, Maya, who I heard realizing her mistake.

Then, my consciousness faded once more...

A few minutes later, I found myself once again lying on my hospital bed, the earlier burst of emotion now calmed. The gravity of what I had just done settled heavily upon me.

I kept my gaze averted from my beautiful superior, Maya. She, too, avoided looking directly at me. Yet, from the corner of my vision, I noticed a faint blush still gracing her cheeks.

I really messed up this time...

'What in the world compelled me to say those things?' I reflected, the vivid details of the earlier events replaying in my mind.

I couldn't understand why I had blurted out such bold requests to my own boss. Though some of what I said had a semblance of truth, the fact that I had made such a daring proposition... I might have truly lost my mind.

"Uhm!"

The senior doctor's clearing of his throat caught both Maya's and my attention.

"Mr. Isaac," he addressed me with a hint of concern, "how are you feeling right now?"

"Huh? O-oh yeah, I'm feeling great, fantastic, even! Hahaha..." I tried to sound nonchalant, though the soreness from being thrown like a sack of potatoes by Maya was still very present.

I noticed Boss Maya's gaze soften, a touch of apology in her eyes. She seemed to feel a pang of guilt for her earlier reaction... though understandable considering what I had proposed to her.

"I see..." the doctor replied, though his expression suggested he wasn't entirely convinced by my cheerful façade. "Well, if that's the case, do you remember what happened to you today, Mr. Isaac?"

"Huh?"

"Well, you were found unconscious and heavily wounded on the sidewalk near Elysian Way." The doctor maintained his professional tone.

"Wait, what?" I was momentarily stunned by this revelation. Then, as I looked down at my tattered, dirt-streaked, and blood-stained formal white shirt, it all came back to me. "Oh... yeah... that happened."

"Isaac...?" Boss Maya's voice cut through my thoughts. I looked at her... to find genuine concern etched across her face. "What happened to you? I was so worried when you missed work today, only to get a call from the police about your condition..."

"B-boss..."

Seeing Boss Maya's worry stirred a pang of guilt in me. Even though it wasn't entirely my fault, I knew I had to explain why I ended up in such a state.

Both my beautiful superior and the senior doctor awaited my explanation. So, I decided to share them my side of the story.

"Well... long story short: I accidentally got into a wild dungeon..."
