Amanda Smith stayed in the hospital for three days, and as soon as she was able to walk, she went through the discharge procedures directly.
When she returned to the Johnson home, it was late afternoon. Mrs. Johnson was just about to deliver a pot of bone broth that the cook had prepared for Samuel. Seeing Amanda step out of the taxi, Mrs. Johnson's eyebrows immediately furrowed.
Behind her, the servants held an umbrella for her. Seeing Amanda, whom they hadn't seen in several days, they were slightly startled, noticing that she seemed to have lost a good few pounds in such a short time—they almost didn't recognize her.
As Mrs. Johnson brushed past Amanda, she huffed softly and bent to enter her luxury car.
Amanda glanced at the departing car and then walked indifferently towards the house.
