Chapter 140: Suicide Threat (1)
The next day, when Samuel Johnson came downstairs for breakfast, Amanda Smith had already gone to work.
Mrs. Johnson had just come back from walking the dog in the garden. Seeing her son staggering down from upstairs, she seemed to remember something. She handed the dog leash to a servant beside her and said to Samuel, "Speaking of which, why haven't you brought Tasha over to play recently?"
Samuel was strolling toward the dining room. Hearing his mother's words, he stopped in his tracks and glanced at her lazily, asking nonchalantly, "What about it?"
"I haven't seen her for over a week, and I kind of miss her."
Samuel "hmm"ed, then said, "As for me, I guess I'm pretty much broken up with her."
