Prologue

This is hard for me but it is what I need. So here I am. Writing again.

They said you were a very good listener, that you spent a lot of time helping others. You would listen patiently as they told you their problems and then you would speak. Your voice was deep, they said. Deep but soft, like a gentle breeze and when you spoke you smiled like the problem was never really a problem. And that made them feel better. That is why you became a therapist in the first place, because you always felt like you could see right through people, because you felt everything and you gave good advice. You always had good advice. So I'll write to you. I'll tell you everything, Rachael.
